Conspiracy & DiplomacyThis is a game where players conspire with/against each other in order to become the only survivor, or at least, the strongest player at the end. I found this game on a forum long ago that I used to frequent. Thinking it was cool, I copied down the rules. It was on the forums of some game or other, and I haven't been able to find it again. It ended up being really fun, so, here goes.
Plot:The galaxy is at war. In the beginning small conflicts broke out, then they turned ugly. Small governments began popping up everywhere, they formed alliances, then dissolved just as quickly as they sprang up. One of the lucky ones, you bought a ship and got the hell out of dodge. You where founding a new frontier, a dangerous one. Other "settlers" had the same idea, unfortunately you chose a bad system, you can't get out of its star's gravitational pull, and it's shrinking every day. There's not enough space for everybody and the one way to get more space is to eliminate the others. Now it's kill or be killed. Everyone is an enemy, some pretend to be friends. Can't blame them, the only way to survive is to team up, but eventually you're going to have betray your friends.
Rules:Play proceeds in rounds, and the game lasts for 10 rounds max. During each round, players may choose to either Attack or Heal any other player(s). They may discuss openly/secretly (via PM) with whomever they choose, in order to coordinate Attacks/Heals. Alliances may be built/broken at anytime as players see fit.
Players start with 20 units of Life and 10 units of Energy.
Life is your HP, as well as your endgame score. If at anytime you end up with zero or less Life, you're out of the game. You gain Life by Attacking other players, or by being Healed by other players. You lose Life if you're Attacked by other Players.
Energy is what you consume when you Attack other players. You won't die if your Energy falls to zero, however you won't be able to Attack others until you raise your Energy back up. The only way to regenerate Energy is by Healing others.
Attacking others consume Energy at the rate of 1:1. e.g. if you Attack Player B for 5 units, it means you're consuming 5 of your own Energy to steal 5 Life from him to add to yours. You cannot Attack more than the amount of Energy you have. If you're Attacking multiple targets, each Attack consumes Energy (and steals Life) separately.
Healing consumes Life at the rate of 1:1 as well. e.g., if you Heal Player C for 5 units, you transfer 5 of your own Life to her, and regenerate 5 Energy units for yourself. You cannot Heal more than the amount of Life you have. If you're Healing multiple players, each Heal consumes Life (and regenerates Energy) separately. Be careful when Healing though, as your Life might drop too low that you might be finished off by the next incoming shot.
Each round proceeds as follows:
1) I announce the start of the new round, as well as the deadline for the round's Resolution. Players may thus conspire with each other at any time during the game.
2) Players must submit their Move before the round's Resolution deadline. This is done thru PM to me. Your Move may consist of as many Attacks or Heals against as many people as you want, but they must all be contained within a single PM, and you may only Attack/Heal each individual target only once per round. If you wish to revise your Move, just send a new one, as only your latest Move before the deadline shall be counted.
3) Once the Resolution deadline is reached, I shall process each Player's Moves in chronological order, and announce their finalized Moves accordingly. Cycle back to step 1.
Each round shall last about 2 days. The game ends after 10 rounds, or sooner if there's only one survivor left. Otherwise, the player with the highest Life at the end of Round 10 wins the game. Signups will last for either 3 days or when I decide that there are too many players to referee easily.

Attack player1 5 (The numbers after the attack is how much energy you want to attack with. So, this move would expend 5 energy, give you 5 life, and take 5 life away from the target.)

(After this, the next Pm to come in is posted. You have an advantage by getting your moves in early! Also note, all of this stuff is filler. The "Tried to heal" business does not mean he failed, it means that just "heals" is boring.)
(If a player dies, this happens. The message after that is approximately what happens when a player is killed before his moves are processed.)

If you made it through the massive wall of text and still want to join, cool! There are going to be a LOT of spaces open in this, at least 20. I'm just going to be using your forum names, not character names for this, otherwise it will just get insane. Remember, the only way to win will be to make alliances, and break them. Also, don't forget you can organize alliances via PM, it will be indispensable. Signups will be over on the 27th, or when the player count reaches 20.
