Although the fill bucket with ice currently uses water to create a bucket of water. I need the correct reagent for ice. currently testing...

This one [REAGENT:A:1:BOULDER:NO_SUBTYPE:INORGANIC:WATER] does not work. unknown inorganic mat...

Reading the modding documentation on the wiki more closely, and you will discover that the correct syntax is [REAGENT:A:1:BOULDER:NONE:WATER:NONE].

Make plaster (new, direct reaction, since the real one is kind of broken)
What's broken about the current reaction for making plaster? It works just fine for me...
More specifically, how exactly is your "make plaster" reaction different from the one in reaction_other.txt?

Thanks. I figured it out as well, and the reaction works. Obvious problem: If you build the workshop inside tha ice will melt before it arrives at tha workshop, if you build it outside the newly generated water in the bucket will freeze. -.-

And I started playing at 31.18. I never got orthopedical casts to work, and never bothered with 31.25. The new reaction I made now uses 1 gypsum boulder and 1 bucket of water, to create a caste. A little bit cheaty, but I hope not too much. I just thought that most people would use splints, because it is so much easier (this I just assume, without any background knowledge)

Um, creating a cast isn't really useful in any way, since doctors don't apply existing casts to creatures - they take gypsum powder, a bucket of water, and some cloth and use that to create the cast on the patient's body.

If you upgrade to version 0.31.22 or later, you will find that casts work just fine. In fact, they worked all the way back in 0.31.12 if you could get the doctor to pick up an already-full bucket - the only thing that was broken was them not being able to figure out how to use a well.

Also, "cast" != "caste" - the former is something you use to immobilize a broken bone, and the latter is a subtype of creature.

I am left to wonder: does this, or could this be modified to, include the ability to dump those annoying lye+water=useless buckets and such?  The one with the lye added to a bucket with water?  I lose more buckets to that... and don't say 'just use the make potash from ash method'.  I want my legendary Lyemaker!

Which DFHack command is it to empty all buckets of water and lye? Speaking of which, add a command to empty a bucket of lye, because that too gets stuck a lot.

I am playing on 0.47.03 old save from 0.40.24. It has everything disabled.
I was thinking how to get rid off in my game water from water buckets, which are littering this fortress, automatically. It's a bug fix, right?

Now, I can empty automatically from manager menu those water buckets any time, there is one.
You will ask, but why did you mixed the titles above.
Well, the game is not moded, but vanilla, so I can't get the new reaction up in screw press without mixing those.
If you start a new moded game, then this will work with proper titles on each reaction.
I felt like sharing about my findings on latest 0.47.03 version.

Vanilla unmoded fix:
1x1 stockpile with refuse and food.
Track Stop automatically dumping into the stockpile.
Hauling route with assigned willow/alder minecart for particular food from main food gathering stockpile.

You don't get fertilizer, what a bummer, but it works like a regular trash dump in real life. :D The stench! Poor Dwarven noses. :D
