You head back into the lobby, the other people are all in there, Joseph calls to you. "You! get down here! we all need to talk."

You contemplate whether to head down or find that sword, but you would be pretty suspicious, but that wont matter much if you find that sword, because nobody wants to argue with a guy who has a sword.

I think it's pretty clear that if we don't murder nearly everybody and frame the last guy standing we've failed on some level.

>Head down and listen.  Start recalling what, if anything, you know about the various people present in the house.

You start going down, having tucked the screwdriver in your sock, being more concealed than a bulge in your pocket.  You recall information on the other people. Mary-lynn has always had a dislike for Alex, Alex is completely fine with everyone, but seems to not be able to stand Joseph. Joseph, actually seems to like everyone except you, and doesn't care for Richard. Victor never seems to care about anyone, butler hates everyone, except a bizzare deep friendship with your (now dead) uncle. Richard doesn't like Joseph, nor butler. Sabrina hates Mary-lynn with a burning passion, and likes everyone else, and doesn't care for Joseph. Caroline doesn't care for anyone else, only herself. You personally don't care about any of these people, because you moved away and disconnected yourself from most of them.

Joseph starts to speak. "Alright everyone. It's about time to talk this out, we need to try to find a way out of here. Nobody wants to die." his wife began to become fidgety. You knew that that meant she cared about how they wouldn't get money, according to your uncles will if they escaped. Joseph continued. "I've read about black magic in some of my rare books, there's a way around it, white magic, or plain avoiding it, possibly digging out. I believe this house has some underground passageway which we can use to escape." the others nodded, to some, escape (not guaranteed) was better than murder. unless someone knows white magic, you're not getting out the door.

Agree and suggest staying in groups of 3-4 Until the underground passage can be found.

>Suggest everyone works together to murder the butler and build a false case claiming that he poisoned the uncle and attempted to kill the rest of us.

((Best possible ending for us is killing all of the others, inflict mild wounds on ourself with a weapon used for some of the other killings apart from the final one, wiping our prints from us, and planting it on the corpse of the final victim, then calling the police and telling them that the final kill and several of the others started killing everyone else off, and ask them to send help. We can claim that we hid for most of the night and then were confronted and killed the last one in self defence, after which we called for an ambulance and police assistance. If we do it properly, we get off scott free and inherit everything.))

You suggest that you should all stick together in groups of 3-4. Everyone seems to nod. You decide against telling others of that plan to kill the butler, because if one doesn't agree (say, Joseph) You'll be turned in and screwed. The others agreed on sticking together and started to split up. You were paired with Sabrina, and Alex. The other group is Victor, Joseph, Mary-lynn. And lastly, butler, Caroline and Richard. your group heads to the attic, because of the odd secrets your uncle hid there. He had this thing for levers. Joseph's group headed to the basement, and Richard's group headed for all the closets and such in the mansion. He really liked secret passages and levers.

(I forgot, there are some puzzles in this that can kill others without a trace.)

((I thought that the whole point was that someone had to die for us to leave, even if it wasn't by our hand?))

Head to the attic with your group and search for a lever or switch up there.

"We should go to the attic, it seems like a good place to go." The others nod, As you head into the attic, boxes are everywhere Several obscure corners and turns are lining the place, even hallways are formed by these. It is effectively a maze, Luckily you can yell to others here. But if you don't know where to search, you'll never find something specific, like a sword, but you may find a lever or such.

Have everyone hold hands, and walk through the maze together, while standing close. Never turn your back on them or let them wander.

With a little voice in the back of your head, no doubt a personality being subdued, telling you to split up, you ignore it and decide what to do. "We should stick together, hold hands and keep our eyes on each-other, we really can't put too much trust in anyone." Alex then spoke "You do make a good point, I wish it was otherwise, but we just don't end up that way..." Your first decision was to head down the left path. The boxes seemed mostly identical. there were splits in the path and other turns, your uncle actually designed this to be a labyrinth, what was he hiding? suddenly, you find yourself back in the main room of the attic. Lightning flashed through the ceiling window, and rain continued to cause a steady stream of noise on the roof. Sabrina spoke "Maybe there's a way to track our progress in this maze?" You nodded, and looked down in thought. What to do, maybe there's something in the boxes?
