When did Bay12 become such a strong Brony hangout?  I almost feel odd coming here these days...
I agree 100%

I know it's fairly common but I killed 180+ people in his civilization before I went after him. I was kind of hoping for something a bit more substantial than a sucker punch and penis theft.

I honestly think it's got something to do with the insanity / carnage / lack of morality that DF fosters for virtual dwarves / ponies.  I know I love abusing ponies just as much as I love loving them.

That sorta didn't come out right...

It might have to due with all the ironic Grimdark stuff the fandom cracks out like baches of cupcakes. Also, the mod proper is a great beginners guide to caste making, along with (soon) having a fair slew of uniqe creatures.

Oh, and ponies in general infect everything they touch like a candy-coated Zerg, exept some welcome it with open armes.

Dwarves in Ponyville would end in disaster. Once they mine beneath the surface, it would just be "You have struck diamond!" "You have struck ruby!" "You have struck sapphire!" "You have struck citrine!" "You have struck granite (but only five tiles worth)" "You have struck tigereye!" "You have struck green jade!"

They'd have to deforest Sweet Apple Acres to have any reasonable amount of construction materials, and when they realise they just failed to satisfy a mandate to produce a microcline mug, the entire fortress would be stricken by meloncholy.

I'm pretty sure Applejack and the rest of the Apple family would keep those trees from being cut down. Yes, even by dwarves. See: My avatar. That's at least & level scariness.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Why is this topic even in general anymore? Its just turning into a Dwarf Fortress forum style Flame-War.

(As in, if this were any other forum on the internet there would be people yelling "You stupid  F :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X G   C :-X :-X T,   go   F :-X :-X K your mother, coz she seemed to enjoy it when i was   F :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X G   her last night!   F :-X :-X K!"... you know, that sort of thing?)

Where is the chemistry
They tried chemistry once.
It created soap.
Dwarves lost interest in chemistry after that.

So... is there a mod that lets you harvest juicy pony organs and bones for the glory of the mountain home? Other than the MLP mod of course. I have no interest in playing one. :P

Why is it pretty much impossible to go into a discussion involving both MLP and nonfans without furries/f****ts/acceptable targets of the week coming up?

I do believe one of us proposed that, in the vein of the mermaid model. Sadly (thankfully?) the thread is deleted, and the section of our forums it is reposted on isn't visible to guests.

This isn't a serious question, is it?  It's an obvious answer: both groups are disliked by the outsiders that feel infringed upon by the fandom, have a subset of rabid defenders/apologists, and are cute (and therefore irritating for some raisin).

Really, I think this forum is strikingly civil considering our love of brutal murder of our foes.  I just was shocked since it felt like I had returned to the forum after a lengthy hiatus to find it disturbingly transformed and alien, like Planet of the Apes (but with Bronies instead of Dr. Zaius).

Its something that is plaguing the intertubes.

I was thinking more along the lines of this legendary champion, all clad in dented and dinged up steel plate, his blood-drenched axe slung over his back, a notch in the handle for every enemy that saw the swing of that blade as the last sight they ever saw, a battered shield strapped over his arm... and a fluffy, pink stuffed hippo hidden discretely in his breastplate.

I haven't even watched the show and even I know that was a poor choice of words.
