Plus, the moon Dwarves would strip mine it and turn it into the death star, bar massive implosion weakness.

It was quite interesting when I was trying to gen a pony world to play adventure mode in Zebras ended up taking over the whole world for some reason. No matter how much I tried to weaken them in the raws Zebras would always overtake ponies.

Turned out it was because due to some error in the tags ponies didn't have enough food, fixed that and ponies became dominant species again
