Tamrielic Risk Map
« on: January 22, 2012, 02:38:23 pm »

A group of friends and I often play the board game Risk, but I was getting tired of the original map. With that in mind, I started making a new map! I downloaded a map of Tamriel from UESP.net and traced over all the provinces and islands in Adobe Illustrator, and now I'm labeling the regions (rather crudely, but oh well).

Unfortunately, it's incomplete due to me not being able to find the positions and names of regions in all of the provinces that haven't starred in a game yet.

Does anyone know whether or not the provinces that haven't been in games even have maps? And if they do, where would I look for them?

Maps!
Especially this one. Although this is pre-Skyrim, unfortunately. Still, it's good.

With regards to Morrowind, consider using TR's map. It's pretty. 6 provinces, you could split up some if you wanted more (particularly Necrom).

Arena used the entire continent, and maps of it might provide some help, as well...

Yah, it sounds like minecraft with content, you have obviously missed the point, people dont like content, they like different coloured blocks.
Seems to work fine with my copy. As soon as I loaded the human caravan came by and the world burst into fire.

I never realized Morrowind was so close to the main body of the continent. It's almost surrounded, there.

I never realized Morrowind was so close to the main body of the continent. It's almost surrounded, there.
Vvardenfell, the island is called Vvardenfell. Morrowind is the name of the game and the country, Vvardenfell is the name of the island in the center of Morrowind where the game takes place.

As far as the regions go, as far as morrowind the province goes, I'll point you to how Tamriel Rebuilt is dividing it,

Red lines were where they were originally dividing it, green lines are where they are dividing it now. I'd honestly roll with the green lines bar the almalexia rectangle and using the red line on the left arm as the divider there rather than the heartland divider. Basically if you don't get what I'm saying, bring the heartland north till it hit the red line, get rid of Almalexia and roll it in with the Sacred East.

Alternatively just use that as a guide and decide where the borders should fall yourself, the last time mainland morrowind was explored at all was a specific sector of a specific city in Tribunal, and the entire province in Arena.

Check out Conquer Club. It's online Risk and one of the biggest draws is the sheer number of well-done custom maps.

For example, they have a Tamriel map:

Here's the full list: Conquer Club maps

If you just want the map(s), go for it. Otherwise you can play online in 4 games at a time for a free account or $25/year for unlimited games.

(If you like what you see and decide to get a premium account, I wouldn't mind at all if you used my referral link :D. It's worth a month to me.)

(Sorry for sounding like an ad, but it's really an awesome site.)
