The base can get copied across - Volg will be stripping out all the machines and chests and stuff when he does so, though.
Given that we're not allowed to put any blast proof blocks, CF, or CF pellets in the double chests I'd imagine most of our bunker will be stripped.

So we mix some unsuspicious ammount of advanced alloy in everyone's chest?
Or just the CF ingredients.

CF ingredients would probably be for the best as we can make more of it from less. It also means we should bring along wood as well so we can make some scaffolding. In the end we won't know exactly what we can bring with us till we see the list which is a good reason to leave the stuff we are collecting but not using in as raw a state as possible.

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

Currently I have a bunch of actual ore in my personal chest because we don't know if we will be allowed blocks so ore would be the next best thing though it only contains 2 ingots to a piece instead of 9.
Sounds good. lets reroute the sorter so that the ores will not be processed? If there's a need for one kind, just process some manually.

Fairly sure he'll import blast-proof blocks if we ask nice. 'Twill probably cost a decent bit of ingame cash to import or something, anyway.

So I made a quickish video showing an optimized sugarcane farm and the pipe bomb I made. While doing so I learned something interesting about the explosions shape, its shaped completely and by direction as well so it will literally explode the same way every time. Same size, shape, and orientation.

Video is here

Very nice Akhier but a huge shame they aren't allowed.

While they aren't allowed for breaching, they do give us the ability to blow stuff without an engineer (admittedly, in a resource intensive way). At least this gives us another option for fun traps.

Yep. You walk into a room, ring in the ceiling starts overloading. You push a hidden button, overload stops.
Invader walks in, gets buried in gravel when the roof collapses.
Also probably good for blowing bridges.

My biggest problem is at that point it would probably be better to just use a piston. I have actually been thinking of a drop bridge with sand or gravel and it would not be all that hard to make. Pistons just happen to be easier to use and with the redpower you can easily make it work better as its even better timed then the pipe bomb. Though the explosion is almost worth it in and of itself and being able to say we use pipe bombs is amusing to say the least.

Pipe rings also have a built-in timer, but yeah. Its cheaper to use pistons. I don't think they do enough damage to be antipersonell, and they have a delay.

Pity though, they look so epic.

Just because they are not practical does not mean we can't use them, you just need to remove the hurdles. First thing(I am ignoring material cost) to look at with them is the slightly unpredictable delay. Now this is easy enough to get around, you just need to make it so that they are used so the delay doesn't matter. For instance, a long hallway with the explosion rigged to collapse the ceiling or let loose lava. It is simply a matter of making sure that a person can't run out of there in time. Another method is to make the enemy unaware that they are on a clock though I personally prefer the previous method as it gives them a chance as well as scaring them more.
Another thing to look at is the impracticality compared to just using a piston. This I can not actually directly take care of but I can prop it up against something to make up for it. As mentioned, it is cool looking. Basically awesome in a pipe. You just have to make it visible so that you can show off our technical mastery of Buildcraft mechanics. Only one non-dwarf knew of this as of last night though more may know because of my video or the mod who I had to show it to telling others. This means it is at least unique to the server and that counts for major style points. Basically its just too cool to not use.

I think that the timer is pretty predictable. If you have two identical setups (same size ring, same length lead, same # of EU/tick) it should overload in a pretty regular timescale, and the countdown is so beautifuly apparent...
Swirling, pulsing blue energy swells and builds as it chases itself around and around a torus, more energy being piped in every second to join the building overload...
It just has the right sci-fi "overloading" or "charge bomb" appearance for that special "Oh Carp!" factor.
Those who see it triggered by a trap in an ominous enough way would actually be dissapointed by the resulting blast. The "energy charging" thing calls up sci-fi depictions of world ending bombs, or at least room-sweepers. It would certainly be intimidating...until they saw one go off.

So. an attempted raid but all they got was to have a look at wayward's room.
Question is, is this "siege tower" legal?
They, Cogohst, ramien123 and KyleFate, used a power rail and rode the cart to the balcony.

Probably not, it defies "physics" so I would call in a mod.
