What? Don't we already have stairs going down to the airlock?

If we use one of these reactors (especially the "veined" kind), I vote that we call it the Heart of Armok.
Then again, maybe we should save that name for a Nether geothermal plant or a nuke plant.
Oooh! A forestry mod plant that makes liquid biomass into biofuel [into Buildcraft fuel]! We can have all the colourful liquid piping and pulsing engines behind rein. glass suspended from a cavern ceiling!

Clarification. It shall not connect with the secure area.

So today I made the unfortunate discovery that ender pearls can be thrown through the gap in a block of wiring, meaning that wiring going out of a wall in our fort is VERY DANGEROUS. In an effort to keep our fort safe, I connected an energy link and a conductive teleport pipe to our power system the frequency is 1243, and at the time of typing it hasn't been connected to anything.

Yeah, we're going to need to figure out was to make throwing enderpearls not work well for invaders. For RedPower stuff, jacketed wire and covers should suffice, while we can just spray IndustrialCraft wires with Construction Foam.

Have the enderpearls drop you into an area with pistons shunting around.
Once again, they can either /kill themselves or stop playing on the server.

power teleport pipes will be impractical since it will send too much power, and the extra power will just disappear...
instead, make the wire snake through several bends, will be impossible to throw the pearl all the way inside.

Or as suggested we just use construction foam on the IC wiring and those fancy covers on the RP stuff. Then again I just figured a nifty trap. What you do is have a u-bend in the wiring basically so the person trying to tele in gets trapped. in the place they are trapped there is a set up like so:
P  P
R__R

where P is pistions facing each other, the R is some setup which delays the redstone signal by some and the _'s are pressure plates. With the delay set up right you can have the person who gets in there be constantly pushed back and forth and yet not have the annoying piston noises all the time. I will test and see if this works.

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

I made the piston trap that only works while someone is in it. It used 2 repeaters, 1 not gate, and 1 and gate. I think I will do a mock up in our base to show you all.

Joinage Guide:

We are playing on http://terranovos.com/home

Step 1: fill in an application on: http://terranovos.com/apps
(don't spend too much time on it, it's just a formality)

Step 2: download the tekkit launcher: http://mirror.technicpack.net/files/TechnicLauncher-0.2.exe
And run it. Select the Tekkit mod in the top left.
Go into options, and select newest build.
input login information. Tekkit will download and create a new tekkit minecraft directory, so it will not effect your old minecraft install.

Step 3: log into the server: Ip: play.terranovos.com
Wait for you application to be accepted, then sail to our home at -1021 +361.
wait for someone to let you in the bunker(by posting here), then use /sethome and you are good to go!

Step 4: Profit

I hope you come join us Device... our fort badly needs engravings!

The people living south of us, have already claimed the vulcano, at least for it's lava.
don't build anything there without talking to them(they were on the island first)

I have built a lockdown mechanism.
just pull the lever in the bunker, and all doors get locked.
i aim to add traps to this also.

When asked what happens when you are then shot in the other eye, he said that you put an eyepatch on that eye. When asked how you'd be able to see, he said that your first eye would have healed by then.

My trap does not work fully I am sad to report. Apparently you just have to home at the right moment and it doesn't interrupt quick enough. More research in progress.

The tekkit launcher sez "can't find java directory"

that means you installed it, and are trying to install again.
go to %appdata% and find .tekkitlauncher, the java file should be there
