Everyone will have their home inside the bunker so its better not have a combo lock on the exit as people can just guess their way in if they get enough time... Although the wrong combo can drop them into a pit or something.

The wire alarm thing is kinda fun, but not really needed I if we have the bunker... Could connect them to red lamp with a timer so they flash =P

we do have a bunker right now and we are still getting raided.

Also connect it to node blocks playing an alarm sound.

The private rooms idea is a nice one though we will have to make sure they are as secure if not more so then the area in which they are.
Really I'd just like somewhere we can store things short term when going out to defend the fort or when collecting a load of materials for something. I wouldn't mean to leave anything valuable there when I log off.

Did you at least explore the bunker? I added a 2nd storage room earlier this week. There's enough room to add personal chests, like I did for me.

Yeah so... unless someone screws up they can't get our stuff. We got bombarded by two quantum guys for a while and they broke the marble walls(with tnt) in retaliation for us wasting their time :P

Took all the excess saplings and made into biofuel cells. dont really know where to dump them and the fuel cans though.

we do have a bunker right now and we are still getting raided.

Yeah. until they realize that they can't get in and stop trying forever.

as long as they get to kill us, and loot our nano armour,
they will keep coming back for more sweet nano armour.

But they got nano sabers. they break the armor.
Dumped the stuff in the nuclear chest below the food chest. burn it if we need the energy...

That's why I wander around the base bare-naked. :P

@Ivefan
We got a fermenter/still in the base. The saplings are supposed to go there, but I think you can also use biofuel cells in the still. To be verified...

I have noticed but figured there were plans for down there that might even include piping. Now I know better I'll put in a chest.

We just had an attempted raid by acekid but all he got was someones drill and lappack while not even getting into the non-bunker area of our base. Cation is advised though as he was full quantum and logged out in front of our door.
Also I made a machine to make redstone engines. It is on top of the sheep pen. To open the door I have a level down in the extra storage above my chest. It works like the rest of our doors to the outside so a redstone signal means the door is closed. Also inside the room itself is a lever right on the wood block above the door which can be used to lock the room from the inside so you can be safe. To make a redstone engine go to the far side of the room and there should be a button. If the double chest near the button has at least 10 wood planks, 1 iron ingot, 1 redstone, and 1 glass in it then all you need to do is press the button. If you want more then one engine you have to wait for the timer to stop before pressing the button again. It may take a little bit of time to make your engine but it will make it.

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

Well, my experiments with a self fueling reactor were a failure. The IC wiki is lying about the cooling rate of the reactor, because everything I set up blew up eventually. However, it appears that a reactor with only a single uranium cell cannot blow up, and will cause radiation damage to anyone within three blocks. If we could set up small nuclear reactors around the exterior of the compound, perhaps further down the peninsula, bring them up to 70% heat(where they will cause damage within seven blocks), and put just enough uranium in to keep the heat stable, we could create a pretty effective defense against raiders.

One better: When being raided we dump all items in the bunker and flip a switch, which will irradiate the whole island relevent to us. We won't lose anything, they will lose their crap. Once they die we drag our cancer riddled corpses to an off switch.

Its a waste of uranium and we would need a reactor every 4-5 blocks or something.
Aaand if they have quantum they wont take any damage at all. I fulled a 5 chamber reactor with cells and stood on it, with Q.armor untill it exploded. the power bar on the armor didn't even move.

Addendum: 8 nuclear bombs didnt nudge the power bar.

only every 14 blocks, and uranium kills fast. It would only take a short while each time, and each cell lasts almost three hours. With quantum, we can't really do anything but fight them directly.

..Or how about making murderholes to shoot from? muskets or crossbows.
So far i've only seen one raid where they did not use quantum.
