somebody ruined the door locking system by removing the doors,
and putting them back the wrong way!

That was me. Someone wanted it set up so that you didn't have to have someone else online to lock the doors behind you, and the way it was set up meant that the door lock still worked by deactivating the pressure plates.

WaywardDevice, no offense, but both the tower thing and bridge are ugly as fuck.

What potions do you load into that?

Also, we need a Nether base so we can grow Nether Wart.

Linky? I don't feel like searching through it all :P
Here is a video of an early prototype. I had to slow things down a bit after an update increased the invulnerability time between potion hits. I just made a new design with RP2.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It could probably be simplified some but I'm not used to all these mods. The dispenser could also be resupplied using BC and maybe RP. The double repeaters are because the pulse former creates a pulse too short to set off the dispenser. I'd normally put another in bellow the two at the top but it seems to work anyway.
Potions don't harm someone in full quantum, so the trap doesn't do anything.

Splash Potion of Harming (Instant Damage II)

I just tested this for myself and they harm through quantum suits fine. This is unless they made them more powerful for the server.

I just tested it twice in a row.
It does no damage as long as you have the full suit on, if you have any piece missing then it does some damage (eg. with only the boots missing, a splash 2 deals 1 heart of damage, missing just the chest piece and no replacement armor in that slot deals 2.5 hearts damage).

EDIT: There is only a single way to harm someone in full charged quantum, that is dropping them in the void. You can keep them in lava with pistons for half a hour to drain them, but not even a 10 point blank nukes will lower the charge state by 4%

Did you make sure to fully charge the suit first?

Well, most of them have full suit, so that doesn't help. We could find every gap in bedrock (are those still generated?) under our territory and build our base around drop-chutes, but other than that we need containment traps.

Are you sure that nuclear blasts are ineffective? ...well, I guess they might be effective on the power generators that the raiders use...

Newsflash: One shot with a cannon is apparently above reproach as a rule of thumb.
I propose finding where the Q-suited thugs live and fighting a one-shot war with them...
MAD doesn't work when most people don't carry uranium around with them...

Yeah, I know that would probably be considered griefing (In our defence, "one shot" seems like a fairly open invitation, even if the actual rule is to avoid scorched-earth bombardment.) but the only weakness of Q-suit seems to be the supply chain. As long as a high-tech home base exists, they are invulnerable. The only way I can think of to attack them is through guerrilla sabotage. We aren't allowed to detpack stuff with ITNT (pity, that); nuclear warfare sounds like a good way to get banned; the only thing I can think of besides stealing fuel is vampire wires.

Style 1 involves leaving a matter generator. Admins may object, probably very expensive
Step 1: find their base.
Step 2: locate an out-of-the-way cranny with an exposed main power feed
Step 3: place matter generator
Step 4: hope they don't find it

How much energy can a scrapless Matter Generator soak up before becoming full of UU?

Style 2 involves placing blocks and leaving trail
Step 1: find their base
Step 2: locate exposed wire
Step 3: use one-way cable at our base and lay long wire to leach power. Loss is of no concern, them not having it is more important than us having it.

The audacity may earn us style points, but it probably isn't practical, involves modifying the builds of others, and invites revenge.

Style 3 has nothing in it admins can complain about and is fairly hard to trace, but is risky. We could stand to lose many E- and L- crystals.
Step 1: Load up on lapotron crystals and energy crystals.
Step 2: find their base
Step 3: drain all accessable energy reserves
Step 4: /home
Step 5: repeat occasionally

Probably the most "legit" strategy.

Alternate plan:
Assume they use nuclear power.
Fill up on lava buckets.
Find their base
(optional) Strip the place of everything stealable.
Find the reactor.
Donate all our lava buckets and /home immediately. We destroyed no blocks and used no explosives, so I would imagine that some would call it a legit raid.
Something tells me that not everyone will think so, though.
If they have an ice factory cooling system, sabotage can be made time-delayed (though more iffy) and will look more like an accident.

Tl;dr: Q-suit makes having power into having godmode. Denying power seems our only option.

Yes and no, I used the fully charged ones given by NEI.

@Matz
I like the strategy with the E and L crystals though because the difference between an E and an L crystal is only a couple simple circuits and six lapis, using the E crystal is a less efficient. If you can get to such a place with nothing but a L crystal fill it then retreat you will lose less when caught then if you tried to bring enough E crystals to suck the same amount of energy and honestly its the diamond that matters. In the end though I think the best thing is actually a combination of the long one way cable and the crystals but instead of having the line go back to our base and thus make it obvious who did it instead it should just be a long cable going to a hidden charging bench MK3 (which is relatively cheap to make) which has a L crystal in it slowly charging and because of all the energy loss from long distance cabling it will end up sucking out a lot more then a L crystal can hold. Of course if you want to be on the cheap then a MK1 bench filled with batteries could do in a pinch if a long enough distance away though it would be more raw resource intensive it would be using cheap materials.

Nope. You're not allowed to remove items that would cause an explosion, so i assume you're not allowed to place them either.
anyone else having problems connecting right now?

Speaking of armors...
Nano armor gets broken from nano sabers as a special? Because according to IC Wiki the sabre does equal damage to a diamond sword when charged but does not break.
So would an enchanted diamond sword be theoretically better?

Huh. Now i can connect but it says im not whitelisted.

Yeah, I was thinking that E-crystals might be needed if we can't access MFS... whatever the 3-rd tier units are called.

Akhier's plan is good, I don't know if admins will allow physically attaching things to the build though, that's why I had the "crystal raid" idea.

We have loads of materials for crystals, so i would think that with just a base location we could do a significant raid. Do we have anyone higher than Citizen? A cannon may be necessary... I would reccomend weapons, but they won't matter anyways. Can you inflict knockback on players in SMP?

Anyway, its time Bay12 did something active rather than just walling ourselves in.

...I'm good at coming up with extreme plans of attack, aren't I? Pity most of what I come up with is against the rules.

...what rank do you have to BE to use nukes?
...what about reactors? You can't launch them like TNT, but you can have...accidents...

Both kinds of dynamite are out, so we can't break windows to enter... unless we had a ghast...
Aren't there fireballs you can throw now? Do they break glass or anything?

What if we used pistons to displace a wall enough to walk in a corner, then shifted it back? Nah, admins would cry foul.

Would a tesla coil be cheaper than a matter generator? It would also be annoying to disarm. Find a power feed, drop a coil, drop a torch, (die), profit.

I have just one thing to add, if you get in then all you need is a L crystal because they have to be charging their Suits somewhere and you can charge your crystal there just as easily as them.

I'd say your plans is rather depending on circumstances.
For one, Any Quantum player would have their base covered in blast resistant blocks and the entry electrified.
To gain access to any cables you would probably have to dig around and that would probably not be liked.
Even if you Drain their power supply you'll still need to drain their suit and their system probably have a large supply or powerful generators.
