No problem, this guy has tutorials as well. I see his name mentioned around the Technic forums a lot, so I'm guessing they're pretty good.

lets make a mix of traps:
some to kill people without quantum suits,
and some to trap people with quantum suits. sure they can just type /home, but you can't raid while in your own home :)
also: more one way doors!

EDIT: got the rubber tree farm working... no more rubber shortage for us!
Btw, I started working on a wheatfarm last week. I just placed a farmer machine and a steam engine directly in front of the end of the stairs in my room. If you want to finish it go ahead. :)

just wanted to mention that somebody removed the doors and put them on back to front!
make sure you put them in from the outside!

I think we should move really, people know where our base is, and Dragonshardz and I are still a while away from getting Engineer status so we can use TNT. So don't be too quick to make tons of stuff, we want to strip the caves of resources then bugger off somewhere. I'm going to search for a place and set my home there so I can teleport resources.

i just want to mention, that after we secured the fort, we've had no more raids.

on the other hand, the site is total crap, so i'm for moving just to get a better spot... and not build everything underground too.

We can use TNT minecarts and detonator rails...

Then again, I don't know if playing Payload is appreciated by the admins in the same way as TNT cannons are.

This server needs a rappel tool and glass cutters. I can so see them being useful in infiltrations (especially on things like our tree farm)

I tried to place water with a deployer. didn't work. Same with TNT? I didn't try.

So you guys like the toys I left for you in the armoury?

I LOVE my surprise!
raiders wont love em though ;D

Before we move i think we gotta give some thought into the new layout of the base.
the old one was jsut laid out willy nilly.
and with my added security it got downright ugly(but safe).
lets get some blueprints down before we move.

I'm focusing on making personal items now, since we are moving. i will be making nano suits for as many as i can.

We also need to raise at least 40k so we can found a town and claim a few plots.

Personally, I would like for us to make a modern marble and glass tower surrounded by farms and such, with an automated factory below ground.

Yeah, I'm for having a visually pleasing city up top with a vast and dirty industrial complex hidden underneat.

EDIT: to the new(old) guys: we are at -200 +900
we have a bunch of one way doors leading in, so you'll have to have somebody let you in(or just destroy and remake the door)
I tried to punch down the door and place it down again, not realizing that it doesn't give you the door. Could someone please let me in so that I don't have to do any more damage to the property?
EDIT: I managed to make my way in and only break blocks that I could replace. My home is now set inside, but I was unable to find the iron needed to repair the door.
Also, most of the chests are private, I'm not sure if their for the group or just for those who locked them, but I am unable to get into those.

I actually have a design for a nice looking tower kinda thing that I've been playing with. Gimme a lil bit and I can post pictures.

EDIT: Also, Ante, you should DEFINITELY try to find an oil well. I'm pretty sure the map seed is publicly available, so you can throw it into a Creative map and explore in a 5000 meter radius from where spawn is on the server. Only problem is that oil wells don't always spawn in the same place, but you can at least explore and find a nice spot.

EDIT2: Found a nicely sized desert at -1000 500 or so. Volcano within easy walking distance. -1500 1000 is even better, huge fricking jungle and it looks like there are some IC2 rubber trees in it.

I think Forestry can make liquid biomass that can be distilled into BC fuel. Runs in special engines without conversion, too.

Oil deposits aren't based on the seed, unfortunately.

weird that the doors transforms when you knock it down.

please make sure you can close the door, so it's not open to raiders...
on the other hand we have 3 doors leading in, now we have 2.

Can i vote, for not building in the desert(unless we are building Las Vegas, which would require me to make redstone slot machines)

SOMEBODY made my protected chest into a douple chest
DONT DO THAT!
it's not allowed and i could have gotten banned for it!

Actually, -1500 1000 is in the jungle, but the desert is very nearby. The kind of tower I want to build will require lots of glass.
