C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Application Data\.techniclauncher\tekkit\config\IC2.cfg

Open it in notepad (right click-> edit for me). I think this line looks interesting:

   # Enable hiding of secret recipes in CraftGuide/NEI
   enableSecretRecipeHiding=true

Changing mine to false. Will report if I notice anything of military value.

EDIT: I wholeheartedly reccomend this. All the UU matter recepies/etc. show up now.

Lol, that post made me notice craftguide in the first place.

i made a post on their forums to just make sure computercraft was offline, and they confirmed it was, but:
They are gonna try and enable computercraft on the server when it comes back up later today!
if it crashes then they are gonna remove it again, so lets hope for the best!

if it works, would you guys prefer:
passwordet doors
keycard
keycard + password
personal keycard + personal password.

the last option is pretty hard to do, as i have to learn the wireless part of CC to be able to control the passwords from a mainframe.

i have allready built passwordet doors(unhackable), that lets you make 3 attempts then sends out an alarm signal(which can be connected to the panic line)

with bundled cables(we need wool for this) we can control all the doors and traps from a mainframe.
we could have command like enable all, enable doors, enable traps, enable front traps, etc.

Hmm, I too shall be waiting awhile until everything is finished updating before continuing. Basically, I just wanted to say how this whole experience has been so much more like playing Dwarf Fortress than I thought it would be. I mean, we've had three (four?) forts, some destroyed by sieges, some by our dissatisfaction with the universe they were built in. People even went into strange moods and made artifacts. Its been a dorfy ride (one which I hope will continue in the future).  Finally, is this tekkit server the new 1.2-when-stuffs-updated home of the Bay12 Hivemind Omniswarm Dwarven Invaders? It certainly seems so from the last few pages of this thread, but I just thought I'd throw it out there.

or maybe Valve goes out of business because they invested too heavily in something which then fails - like, say, human civilization.
Alternatively, initiate strife to refuse additional baked goods, and then abscond.

i think this server is really nice.
i love the Tekkit pack myself.
the server is very stabil and a very low constant lag.
it is a whitelist server, so banning means something.
the rules are that you can't grief, but you can kill and steal, and use tnt cannons to break in, but no more than that, no stealing machinery or anything.
on the other hand it doesn't have factions mod, så you dont have block protection, but if somebody just mines in, they are banned.

oh, and the server is gonna go up real soon, can't wait!

That's what I'm thinking. Terra Novos is a really nice server.

My application has been accepted and I'm looking forward to joining you this weekend. Got a lot to learn as I've not really used mod before.

About the map reset at some point in the future, i'm looking at it this way:
this is all training, we have learned a lot about the proper layout of the base since we started, and we will learn much more.
when we started out, we had no safety at all, and we got radied like 4 times in a single day.
the next fort will be very mindfull of the layout, from a defence perspective.(we are NOT digging a moat all the way to bedrock!)

with all the mods we have much better access to defences than in vanilla, to list some:
-dispensers shooting shotgun shells(claymore)
-redpower making wiring much easier
-computers(maybe) for passwords!
-protected chests(1 for each person)
-reinforced walls that can withstand even a nuclear explosion!
-and the server rules forbid you from mining blocks, you can use tnt cannon to get in, but only to breach the outer walls.

EDIT: SERVER IS OPEN!!!!!!!!!!

If they work then we can use the trap I designed for use on the previous server.

Mass Effect 3 is out and I need to finish on-going things on N@W, so I won't be online a lot this week. Good luck & have fun. :)
