could you put up a link to the mods download page and also say what the steam group name is?
There aren't any mods to download.
And the steam group is in the first post.

News to me; though I don't think this is the first time it's happened.

Uh, if you want I can keep headed north until I find a good place to build far away from civilization. I can then build a basic home there and post the coords for everyone else, whereupon we can develop, etc.

This is assuming poo isn't already making a plan, of course

When asked how you'd be able to see, he said that your first eye would have healed by then.

I propose we do the traditional "dorf invader" thing and set up an IRC chan

EDIT:

I've found a good spot for us I think:

2700 x
-705 y

There is a huge mountain range for us to dig into, I haven't seen much in the way of habitation, AND there is a fully intact human village literally right nearby. I think it'll make a good starting point.

werever we start, i vote we dig down deep, and try get a fortress built on magma covering bedrock as te grandplan. Something itd be hard to dig into without dieing. -wede have to excavate a drop form the cavern roof to the fortress roof that would kill any fallers, and see about putting obsidian runs up so we dont get sunlight down their if someone does break through-

Develop the place in true dwarven style, and with as much protection against hostile minecraft players as possible.

The main problem is lava buckets are disabled, so pretty much any form of magma defense is out.

No magma is slightly annoying, but we can go without. We can probably get away with just using the deep-underground magma for any additional defense via pistons.

Anyhow, the given location has a gigantic mountain that we should probably start our building at. From there, we can dig in and then out, while using the NPC village as a covert hidey hole/secondary base/scouting location.

I'd use the NPC village as a sort of a false front. If anyone comes knocking, pretend that you just moved into there because your lazy and dumb then drown them in teh magma. You said you can build pumpstacks, right?

/I dont play minecraft, FTR.

Buckets make it too easy and they're definitely not fun

Nothing close to pumps in Minecraft. The only means of moving lava is by bucket, which is disabled.

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.
