Trying to attempt this on Fightcraft would be pointless. Donators can spawn items/mobs, godmode, etc. Most of the "God" donators that I've seen there have more money than sense so abuse would be a foregone conclusion.

In any case, I have some stuff there, mostly iron, gold, and a few diamonds. Like a true dorf I dug a hole in the ground and built in it. Though it's only a matter of time before some mini-badmin tp's to me and blows up everything with spawned dynamite.

Wow, that sucks. New server.

I've not been able to play Minecraft for a while because of computer problems but I keep hearing there are servers that give players a few days ban if they get killed ten times or similar. I don't know of any specific servers but I'd be looking for a server like that if I were you. It's the perfect environment to make a big noticeable impact. Working as a team would make you all very formidable.

I've heard of those servers, the"Hardcore" SMP servers. I generally avoid those servers as that's just ASKING to be griefed.

But agreed, a server like that would be ideal for an invasion; provided we're able to remain hidden for our vulnerable build-up period.

We had our first few invasions today, they were mostly just testing the thing.
We work fine together. We are gonna plan to find a better place to settle, maybe on a part time hamachi server.

After a bit of hunting and a brief survey, I have found one server that might work well (please look for problems, but thus far it looks good):

The HitmanCraft server has a massive regular amount of people. It's full PVP, it has no whitelist, no donation superpowers (as far as I can tell, anyway), factions, modules, AND splits the map into "northlands" and "southlands" while encouraging factions to engage in conquest, pillaging, etc.

It has a massive spawn area, but no dopey "rules board" or "rules maze" (one of the things I liked more about Wars of Minecraft).

Anyone else interested in checking?

I don't know. The donation bonuses aren't as abusable as the ones in Fightcraft, but...

Quote
Essentials (Heal)
Essentials (TPA-Here)
Commander Kit (1600 Seconds)
Diamonds Kit (7200 Seconds)
Fortress Kit (1800 Seconds)
MCMMO Regeneration
MCMMO PTP Teleport

These make me cringe a little.

Most of those things are things we can get past. Better than God Mode, creative, infinite everything and flying.

Plus, it'll make things more challenging, seeing as how we'll probably be the most organized group on the server.

Well, I've started on Hitmancraft, and it's definitely cutthroat. Even though I'm over 1,000 blocks away from spawn I've just managed to get to iron armor and have already been attacked 6 times. Guess they didn't expect a diamond sword to the face.

I'm probably going to move much further away from here, so if anyone's got a claim set do tell.

I wandered far away from spawn in the direction of north, but I didn't do anything since I'm waiting for us to get a proper plan. I'd think we should organize, go due north for a fairly long distance, and then find a mountain chain to dig into before going on a conquering spree.
