yes that list is with actual minecraft names.
Wanna came on and invited me :)

and once i found my way out of the underground, the above ground castle is awesome!
the underground layout is really good, just needs lots of awesome rooms!

so, i'v been thinking of a new railway network(this time secure).

this one is gonna have a lot redstone attached.

One main railway station is gonna have a controll wall, deciding where the maincart will go. this will prefferebly be close to /f home.
smaller station on each or every other level.
a glowstone touch will light above the station marked to recieve.

i can think of two ways of controlling where the maincart goes:
1: a button moves the light to the right. click click click.
2: a button for each station can be pressed to turn that station on.

which do you like best?

i'd also like help to site it later, so it's in a good spot.(it should probably go all the way to the top of a tower)

EDIT: also i could take a stab at that door opening, i've had ideas for a door using gravel or sand, and carefully timed pistons to open a massive door. i build a prototype outside our last fort.

(IIRC stone pickaxes do about the same speed as iron or diamond)
They mine EXACTLY as fast as higher tier picks, mining speed for netherrack is capped at what stone can do. Why don't more people know this?

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.

Bummer on the sand, plundge pool it is. we cant have anything that would be knoticeable tbh.

as for the roof:

the set up is to have 3 steps of stone bricks up with stone steps ontop to look good, then they rise about 5 blocks in stone arches -with a stone block linning- filled with glass, from their well have another square shape as the roof hole, so i prepose we fill in with glass on the way round in a fashion that would leave a large round symetrical hole, from wich we can build an obsidian observatory/spawn point mini stronghold. We could make its ability to enter the rest of the fort be through falling water or a plundge pool at the bottom so they fall right down the centre of the main staircase. when we have the basics of the obsidian roof fort, we cover the entire roof in a carpet of magma so if an ender pearl is thrown up it will get burnt and destroyed.

Other:
The sand wall needs filling with magma in the 1 deep trench on its top

This then needs capping with stone blocks across the first inner layer and leave the outer layers as is so we can put sand on it if need be, we may have to put  cactuses on the outerwall so that if someone teleports with a pearl up their they have no moving room.

The main gate needs its airlock and bridge.

The corridors from the central stairwell need digging out and smoothing, then we can decide on branching it etc.

Someone needs to fix one of our lakes, so it dosent have moving water everywere and holes underneath and to the side. Its not good practice to leave open hiding places in your base.

The towers need iron doors and a switch on the inside so we can have a one way acess to the wall etc. with doors on the bottom as well.

We need our pastures replacing in a dedicated farming level. along with the chicken coop and the farms.

The lowest levels of the fort ie that on par with the bottom of the moat should be cleared and dug entierly out and an airlock system put in place so we can repel invaders if they get in their via the bottom of the moat. I would suggest making it vaulted catacombs filled with traps.

Mines need to be established with hidden entrances tha can be sealed off to look like normal blocks so we have minning posts.
a neatherrack farm may be a good idea at some point. Or if we can grab some spawn land.

after that we can all decide on the rest as we dig out the branch corridors and all the rooms.

Also: those necro guys from the other thread/minecraft server are on our server nowadays :)

I volounteer for building a new Chicken Compressor (tm).
where do you want it?

on the topic of a door in the sand wall we could just make a regular stone pistonpowered door filled with airlocks. only way inside would be /f home. i'll make it selfclosing, with a retractable bridge.
want me to make it?

I am working on a panic room with better security, gonna have a real airlock and a fall damage trap.
so i started building it a bit up.
if anybody have a problem with a shaft there, speak up!

i am planning on making the trainstation close by it.

One thing I mentioned building in game which I've not mentioned here: We need a quick way to get up to the surface that is easily secured. The spiral staircase works for getting from floor to floor but it takes too long if we are going to have the main entrance at the surface. I was going to build a piston locked room at the bottom with a series of one man ladders straight to the top.

Having a couple of secure methods to get between floors would help if we got invaded anyway.

i'v build an overly complicated mechanism for a new saferoom. it involves lots of pistons and kills anybody trying to get in. there is a sign in the stairs showing where it is, and a temporary door that will be blocked when we set /f home inside it.

just jump down a small hole, and pistons pushes you outside. then you have 5 seconds to get out before the door closes and anybody inside is pushed into a fall trap.

i repeat, just go down wait for the pistons then walk forward, then you are outside.

this is the most complecated door i've build yet, hope you like it :)

I'm mildly enraged since I lost 29 levels from a server lag.

So I decided to start doing some "mass produced" enchantments instead and made great progress. Could someone split the enchants chests into "quick enchants" and "SWORD OF ULTIMATE POWER enchants"?

we have a skeleton spawner so.

Btw: does a spawners spawn rate depend on the number of faces open? or dosent it matter so long as theirs at least one open into the room?

I was wandering the plains/mountains a ways northwest (I think) of our base at night, since the mob spawner would take forever to actually reach level 29 with alone. I climbed up a mountain and killed some creepers, but then a massive server-wide lagspike hit and my attempt to climb a couple of blocks instead sent me flying off the side of the mountain to die a terrible death.

We now have a flag on top of one of the towers :) the wall for the roof will be finished soon, and then we can start laying down the mass glass. -gonna need to get it to a square about 33 x 33 hole in the roof. If we do that i can figure out a circular design the same way i do it on my forts.
