Crap still here, had a hectic first day back at school

Jingle will start to fortify the entrance to the fortress realising that if they could get through the gate chances are the zeds could too.

OOC: what sort of landscape are we in? forest? desert?

Daniëlle

the sound of the gunshots ring trough the female mechanic. "Shit!" after an initial jittery response she tenses up and tightens the grip on her wooden stick.
with increased vigour she scans the horizon. if there is any movement in response to the gunfire, she wants to know about it.

she then considers if the fort has a lookout tower... but it might be better to let the boys with toys secure the fort before running around alone in there.

Update 3: OOC: The landscape is desert with a few random patches of

Don opens the door with the stick. A single zombie walks out. Don hits it in the head, cracking the skull open and making the brain fall out. 2 More zombies come out, one with 2 bullets in its hand. Don and Tyrin run back to the others as Hiko sounds for everyone to fire. The bodies fall, holes in the head and all their extremities coming out. They wait 2 minutes before letting themselves calm down. Don looks around. He walks towards the HQ, he looks inside and asks tyrin for a flashlight. Tyrin comes back and shines it inside.

The HQ is covered in blood. Don steps in as Tyrin looks about. They check the table and see that the papers on it are maps of the surrounding area. Tyrin checks a locker that appears to have fallen over. He opens it and Finds a double barrel shotgun and 2 more pistols inside. Just as Don grabs the papers, he hears a beep from outside. Don says to Tyrin" Hey, Get these papers and bring them to the truck after you finish looking around."

Don walks towards the gate, along with Hiko and Markus. Theres a man in a Black, windowless van. It is covered in spikes and Has Zombie blood ( so you assume) on it. The man steps out of the vehicle and looks at the truck, Then at Hiko. "Names Sam Patrick. People call me Zed."
(Hiko) " Nice to meet you. What you doing out here?"
Zed "Im here to trade you some stuff, if you got the goods to buy stuff."
Zed brings them to the back and opens the door. Inside are 4 .44 Magnums with 100 boxes of ammunition. 5 Shotguns with 50 boxes of ammo. A battle axe and 10 pistols with 30 clips around. "I run gun supply around here. My Brother, Death, Runs Food and water supply. We havent seen many people around here for a while. So sorry if im a bit blunt." Hiko is at a loss of words. He thinks for a second.

OOC: It is now turn 3, Because turn 2 was getting the surrounding area found and getting the fort secured ( no more zombies inside) and turn 1 was you guys arriving. So its midday now. Will you trade with him, or will you let him go?

((Oh no, we're trapped in a desert with a bunch of plotholes!))

"Okay, I vote that we trade with this... fellow. I'd say see what he'll take for the battleaxe and some ammunition for the pistols and shotgun."

>Don searches the other buildings for useful supplies to trade/keep while the others think about it.

Daniëlle

"its refreshing to be approached all civil like... usually people just demand your stuff and start taking potshots at you when you refuse..." Daniëlle smirks "hell... I'd say the living ones are almost more dangerous than the dead ones..."

she turns to Hiko... "I'd... I'd like it if we could be civil and... human... again, like the old days..." She looks hopeful "he said there were a few other people around here aswell... we don't have much now... but if we can actually trade I'd really like that, for now... maybe our guest can tell us some things about this area"  She pauses for a moment and gives Hiko a very foul look "I am NOT a trade good so don't even think about it!"

(ooc edit- rereading what Zed said he didn't really say there were other people around, just that he hasn't seen many lately, which Daniëlle liberally interpreted)

She takes a deep breath and cracks her fingers "I'll go clean up the mess you boys made... Anyone of you kind enough to lend me a hand?"
>Daniëlle will drag the zombie corpses outside of the fort, (after poking them with a stick a few times to make sure they're dead, rather than undead)

"I agree with Don and Danielle, a steady supply line would be nice."
I accompany Don to search the other buildings, as we need to stay in groups of at least two at all times.  I hesitate to propose a mandatory buddy system, but...

I hesitate to propose a mandatory buddy system, but...

((We should probably go ahead and either work on the assumption that if someone goes somewhere, a later poster will post that they are going to go with them, and/or make IC agreements on who pairs up with who. Apart from that, I'm sticking with my recommendation that we keep using the standard pistols for the time being, as they appear to be damaging enough to kill zeds easily, and the ammunition will likely be much more common.))

"Okay, so you're with me, then, Hyrum? Let's be quick about this, don't want to keep the man waiting."

Tyrin

"Let's trade with the man, we have more armaments than hands here, and it seems we need to look at our basic needs first.

"Weird names..."
Tyrin said, approaching the man named Zed.

"Um, did I say that out loud? No offense there. But I'm trading in for supplies, the others can handle the gun trade."

(Keep watch on the perimeter, with a weapon. Scavenge for any raw materials too [wood, metal sheets, loose nails...])

Hiko

"Your pretty ballsy arriving here by yourself, but still I doubt we will see many friendly faces so you're always welcome and I'd be happy to see your wares. We don't have much but you can have a look and see if there is anything you would want to exchange for a few pistol clips?"

"More importantly can you make sure to give our location to your brother? Food and water are definitely a priority right now."

Agree to trade but wait for the others to find anything useful as we don't really have much right now.

Update 4: Zed: "alright then. Ill be here till night, then im off. By tomorrow morning my brother will be in town with some food."

Hiko thanks him and returns to the fort. He walks in as Tyrin hands him some maps of the surrounding area. Hiko go to the back of the truck and puts it on the bed of it. He looks around. On the map there are 2 rivers, one past the shanty town and another somewhere behind the hills. On the map are 3 big X's, all on top of big green circles, Possible old safe havens. There appears to be a big red circle, with an arrow pointing right at the fort. Hiko flips the paper over, to see writing.

"My days have been numbered, i am out of pills and my friends are trying to break in and eat me. I have noted a big zombie force coming towards here, they are slow but organized. To whoever finds this, get this place secure, you dont want to be undefended."

Hiko is set aback. He is weary of when they will arrive but he is also certain that it cant be long.

In the fort Don and Hyrum check the meeting hall. Inside there are 3 flipped tables and an unknown amount of chairs. Hyrum goes to the back kitchen while Don gets the tables and chairs rearranged. Hyrum opens the door to the kitchen. Theres an oven and 2 fridges. Hyrum opens the first fridge and sees 2 pounds of meet, possibly still good. In the other are 2 bottles of water(14 rations, 7 per bottle). Don calls Hyrum back. When Hyrum enters, Don shows him a trap door under the floor mat.

Daniëlle Finishes getting the dead bodies. She looks through their pockets, looking for anything of interest. In one of their pockets, there is a gold ring. She pockets it and finishes her search, which shows up to be nothing of use. She stands up and walks to the watch tower on the east side. She grabs a chair and sits back, relaxing. She looks out and about, into the desert. She notices something out in the east, a movement of sorts. She runs back to the others.

((whats in the secret door, are zombies going to attack, will you trade with Zed? Enter your turns now.  ;D ))

she looks to Hiko "I think someone who feels comfortable with the rifle should go up there and... take a better look.. if... Zed is still around we should probably give him a headsup aswell"
