I'd like to start off by saying that I am by no means an expert, or even a competent, Dwarf Fortress player. I also know that these posts are done to death, but I love both playing, and watching this fantastic game. So when I decided to start uploading some let's plays to YouTube it was an easy first choice. I've uploaded a few episodes, and am quickly burning through the early stages of the game that I feel comfortable with, and am approaching the hilarity of the unknown/inexperienced. So if anyone here enjoys checking out new LPers then I'd love to hear what you think and thank you for any support. This game has a great community and I'm excited to become a part of it, rather than continue lurking

I've tried to play without texture packs before, but there's just something about the ascii graphics that throws me off. I do, however, enjoy watching other people play with the original graphics.

Well. You aren't very skilled at DF obviously. Which is good! This will result in more fun!
I enjoyed the first seven episodes. Got better after you fixed the issues.

Yeah I'm having trouble figuring out the lag, I don't think its Fraps because most of the time it run perfectly :/ Whatever the problem is, restarting the computer before recording seems to fix it so I'll stick with that XD

If any of the caravn got attacked/died, they may declare war on you... Watching 8.5 as we speak.

Edit: I also invite you to my Succession fort for genesis. Check the thread. Laststand.

Also; I claim the first axedwarf you fully equip that is male. You will tell me all about him >:L

The videos are entertaining and you've got a clear voice. Nice work there. Also nice to see what's the Genesis mod all about, haven't tried it myself.

Just in case you're not aware of reports: see that red C and blue S in the upper left corner of your game screen? The red C means there are (hopefully amusing) combat reports waiting for you to read. Hit r and select an unit to read combats related to it. You'll also probably find out who fired those arrows in the woods. The blue S means your soldiers have been sparring, which is always good. Green H are hunting reports. The letters will appear again when a new fight starts, so keep an eye on it.

Also, around 17:15 in the 8.5 episode when the migrants come: to see what a dwarf is wearing, wielding and carrying, hit v and then i. v-w shows their injuries and thirst/hunger/etc statuses.
