The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Alright, I'm gonna stream for a bit in about 20 minutes probably. I couldn't get HoMM6 to work at all, so I'll probably just be doing more DF for now. Maybe some Impossible Creatures, Dungeons of Dredmor, or Skyrim if people want to see those instead.

:P

But yes. DO THAT! =D

Ahh yes, I forgot I posted that. Yeah I could give that a try next time. I'm hoping it'll be easier to get going than HoMM6!

You have the insect expansion right and the unlocked creatures thingy right?

...*suddenly realizes that if streamed it'll probably be story mode, thereby making such a thing irrelevant*

It would be story mode (probably starting from where I am, which is still fairly close to the beginning) and just vanilla, no expansions.

*Fair enough, but still, FUCK YEAH IMPOSSIBLE CREATURES in general :P*

Anywho.

Seems alright. I never really got that far myself. Hopefully at least as far as you >_>

I got stuck like at the 3rd or 4th mission. Though admittedly it's been long time since then, and I wouldn't be surprised if I was able to beat it now if I tried

P.S. Bluerobin just in case ya don't know the expansions are available for free download on the game's website. Won't change anything in story mode, but it adds some really neat stuff for freeplay

Haha indeed. I realized I should have updated my thread about an hour into streaming. The video's up on the site though, so if you missed it you can go back and watch me play the first few missions then play around in the army creator with people for a while. We ended up making a Bay12 creature army (including such allstars as the Plague Ant, Killbat the Omnipotent, and the Great Horny Shark) and we'll test it out against some AI in the future at some point.

Does the online multiplayer for this game still work? I'm searching for my copy right now and the thought popped into my head

It looks like it a direct connect via IP address option, so we could probably do that if the IC Online option doesn't work anymore.
