Hmm, I need to get through Dragon Quarter at some point. I liked the village system in that one, I just need to get it in to my head that they expect you to die and start over a bunch of times.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

So I told Twi I was going to stream this week, but I forgot I'm going out of town this weekend, so... sorry. :-[

NEXT week, though. Next week we will finish Impossible Creatures, maybe play some BoF3 and do some Warlock and/or Perimeter. I'm not sure if I'll play through the Perimeter campaign or just play some one-off games vs AI, because honestly it's not my favorite game. Regardless, streaming is incoming... eventually.

And the Dragon Quarter talk has me really wanting to play through it. I'm just not sure about how to make RPGs in general interesting to watch.

Dragon Quarter is a difficult, tactical rpg, If you screw up you go down hard and fast. I don't think it will be hard to keep it interesting. Plus, the plot moves along at a fairly steady pace, so you there really isn't much sitting around to make things boring. (In fact, the game discourages it).

Also you can do a bit of background research, about the developers or dev process, works it inspired/was inspired by, how it relates to other games, etc. You can pepper the video with factoids to make things interesting if it gets slow. That, or you could voice act for character dialogue... that's always fun. :P

Only if the person is ok with people making fun of his voice acting

Hahaha I'm much, much more likely to do research... unless I finish off the bottle of vodka I've got sitting in my apartment. That might be fun. I'm always impressed by the random stuff you know about the games you LP Soli, so that might be the way for me to go. The Breath of Fire games in particular have a lot more behind them than I realized (from a BoF4 LP I read through recently).

@Perimeter: Oh, it's not anyone's favorite game, but it's got massive novelty value. Yeah, it's got graphics issues and (supposedly) horrible AI, but it's certainly different, and different is !!FUN!!

Meh, it's not a huge loss if we don't do it :P

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Poor physics, can't catch a break. That was fun! Finished up Impossible Creatures (ending with creepy, creepy blank white eyes), played some Perimeter, then got an itch for Creeper World and played through the online flash game version plus a bit more than half of the Creeper World 2 campaign. I didn't end up recording the Creeper World stuff, but I think I got IC and Perimeter. Thanks to everyone for stopping by!
