Character description: Nessara stands easily above other humans, though shorter than those of the Elven race. Her hair is well-cared and falls past shoulder length, it is shaded to the color of the evening sky. Her skin complexion is light-- that of a morning day's light, her eyes are the opposite and easily mark her from a crowd. Her body is lithe in appearance, though is often underestimated in terms of strength and agility.
Her face is oval-like in shape and on it, she sports a slightly broken nose. She meets your gaze with the tiniest of smiles, hiding her thoughts behind an vague mask.
She is garbed in a white cloak and hood with a trim along the sides tinted to the color of the midday sky. A brown belt hangs by her waist, carrying all sorts of material bags by the straps.
On her personality, she is curious about most things in the word, not minding the fact that she is already a middle-aged woman. 'An open-mind and a smile keeps our society together,' she believes, and this is what she molded her personality on. She enjoys talking to others and intellectual debate, but is often turned down when challenged in physical fights due to her appearance-- making her a daring individual, mostly unafraid of the dangers in life. But also leaving her susceptible to lies and trickery from the most vile of tongues, for she believes that there is always good in everyone. Not that she knows exactly what
is good and evil.
She prides people who know the value of humility and respect, no matter the race or personality and opens up easily to those she deigns trustworthy. Though, this often got her into trouble early in life...
Character history: Nessara was born amongst the middle-class in the cities. She studied among the masses and carried the usual ideas about the nobility and other races. Her parents were inventors and free-thinkers, believing in the possibility of all things in this world. This ranged from the mundane theories of how dew grows on grass to the complex theories of time and magic.
Especially how clocks worked, to the tiniest fraction of a second. Their whole house was filled with the non-stop tick-tock of those wooden keepers.
Needless to say, all this rubbed down on her and influenced her beginnings-- she always had the last say in her choices though and knew the hard fact of consequences. At her coming of age, she began wandering the world with the knowledge she'd learnt, 'more precious than gold', she would tell herself when she was homesick and alone.
Magic and weaponry came to her in her journeys, often to strange lands amongst the wagons of trade caravans and wanderers. She has learned much from her travels and was happy about the fortunate turn of events in her life as she packed for home. Imagining the look on her parents' faces when they saw their only daughter all grown-up and much like them...in a way.
This was the time she learned about the truth. Upon climbing the hill that overlooked her hometown, instead of seeing the familiar towers and stone walls bordering the town, the exquisite buildings of stone and wood: she was met with the smell of ash and burning...bodies. Her shock and horror knew no bounds when all she saw, was a blackened landscape, whatever scant remains of those buildings were left unrecognizable in the ash and ruins. Even those of stone and made to withstand sieges for decades were blown down to their very cornerstone. Swearing long and hard in her fury, she promised to any Gods who were listening that she would avenge those that committed this horrid act.
She walked through the town, or whatever seemed like it. There was nothing left, not even one single clock that carried her memories of a time gone by.
Nothing.
She vowed to avenge them. No matter the cost.
It seemed a reasonable choice, at that time.
