Yup. Toady wouldn't put that there by accident. And if he did, he totally didn't.

If he left his dev log blank to support the anti-SOPA movment then it was a huge long shot for thouse who dont know what it's about. You were supposed to shut down youre website and show you're support against SOPA and PIPA.

Given the general attitude about SOPA/PIPA here, shutting down the site wouldn't actually accomplish much of anything.

Yeah, Bay12 is such a niche website that shutting it down would probably do more harm than good. Same reason the DF Wiki didn't shut down.


On another note, Chris Hastings, author of the Dr. McNinja webcomic, had some good words to say on the matter:
