A dent appears in the roof, towards the back of the vessel.

BANG

Another, further up and to the right, another dent in the hull.

BANG

Halfway up the vessel and to the left, again.

BANG

Nearly all of the way up the vessel and to the right.

BANG

RIP

The sounding of rending metal. The sound of shattering glass. The lights flicker, and plunge the room into darkness.

It is now night.

The sound worked its way up the ship. The lights cut out, and then there was the rending of metal, followed by the shattering of glass. It suddenly grew cold - terrible cold. The air was pulled from our lungs, sucked away from us, if only for a moment. The power was only out for minutes, but the crying, the wailing... it felt like a lifetime. And what we saw when we woke up... I still can't believe it. I don't understand it. Oh god, please, I need a minute... please...

In the darkness, you hear voices. Cries of worry. The sound of breaking glass. Think0028 runs to the cockpit door, banging on it. "Captain! Captain, are you okay!"

With the sound of tearing metal, the air is sucked from the room. You hear a low voice muttering something, cries of pain...

When the lights flash back on, a terrifying site confronts your eyes. The door to the cockpit has been blasted apart - Think0028 lies dazed against the far wall, bleeding from a wound in his forehead. The captain's mangled body lies halfway out the door - the cockpit beyond is torn to pieces and covered in splotches of blood. The glass windows have been sealed off by a heavy metal shield. In the captains hand lies a small recording device.

Captain Webadict has been killed!

It is now Day 1! Day 1 will end in approximately 23 hours!

You do not know what has happened. But you know this - something was outside. And now the captain is dead, and the door has been battered open. How you respond is up to you... but if you believe your only way to survive is to turn on your fellow travelers, the airlock is still functional. With some effort, you may be able to overpower anyone you need to and cast them into the darkness of space. Obviously, this should be a last resort.

To vote to throw someone out the airlock, vote in red. You can also vote No Lynch if you object to this terrible act - the player with the most votes will be ejected into space, as long as their votes are greater than or equal to the number of No Lynch votes.

As everyone comes to their senses, you take a moment to look around. Everyone else (except for Think0028, still lying dazed against a wall) and Toaster, who's rushed to her side, seems to be doing the same. You look around at the others... Dariush has had his shirt ripped off during the blackout, and is covered in some sort of strange oily goo. Orangebottle's eyes dart back and forth, seemingly terrified of everything. Tolyk has his back up against the wall.. and then seems to notice the dents in the ceiling, and scoots away from it.

Everybody is still clearly getting their bearings.

Only now that you think about it do you realize... the hum of the engines is quiet. The controls are clearly damaged, and its impossible to get any sort of useful reading from them. Nor can you see outside the ship.

Quite simply, you do not know your bearings.
