Edit: Bukkit is up to date, but don't go expecting PTTG to switch over.  Creepers aren't THAT hard to manage, Endermen are.

It depends on what you mean to manage. I suppose to could dig trenches all over and throw out a billion torches. Which might stop a small number of them at the cost of ruining the look of everything I build. The thing about Endermen is that they are rare and only only take one block most of the time. Creepers will blow up like twenty blocks and a half a dozen spawn per night. a night of Endermen attacks take a few seconds to fix, a night of creepers can take a hour or so. They have even stopped trying to blow me up and are just bee lining for my redstone.

At any rate. That said! It is only annoying and frustrating. It is not really like game breaking. Taking a hour or so every once in a while is doable.

I find creepers very annoying.
And the clowns in Terraria as well. D:

I don't mind them blowing up and damaging players.
WHat I DO mind is the landscape they wreak havoc upon... (And my constructions.)

At this point might as well wait for Minecraft native to support modding. I'm not sure where the Bukkit guys are going with the changes they've been making, but I'm optimistic that the API is coming soon.

Eh, creepers are way more managable than Terraria clowns, who go about blowing everything up, whether there are people or not.

I think it's best to run vanilla, for now, seeing as bukkit is rather sporratic in their being up-to-date after updates, and when there is an update, I don't want to have to wait for bukkit to update before the server is up to date.

So just out of curiosity, do we have any idea how many people are actually online on at least a semi regular basis? My timezone means I'm generally rather alone.

That said, I've seen as many as four or five on at once, which makes me think we might actually be pulling a decent crowd in the Euro/states timezones...

Oh, I might consider re-joining this with my crew and creating a new dwarf fortress off in the far snowy reaches. My B12 mates have been bothering me about re-playing Minecraft.

How active is this atm, and is it always up or only when the admin is online?

It's always up. As for people, well, there's at least 8 or 9 projects that I've seen, so I would assume that many peeps at least. That said, I haven't explored that much, hence the question in my previous post.

Yep, always up.  If you do need an admin, you can generally find me on Steam between 12:00 and 05:00 PST (as per the 24 hour clock).
