Anyone know how to fix nether portals? Mine connected up with someones... I think it might be electronics or MoM's. (actually no clue, but the house looks a lot like their house in the last server)

The funny thing is that I like on a whole 'nother continent at least 400 blocks in both X and Z away. Stupid nether.

The main thing is to make sure they're at least 10 chunks away from othe portals (might've been more).

I think that if that happens, the only solution is to demolish it and rebuild elsewhere.

Well, one, I am almost certain I am way more then ten chunks away. Two. I had this issue in the last map and it got fixed without anyone moving their portals, the issue is I only shut down my portal, when I logged back in it was fixed.

I think the first portal needs to be shut off in the nether, then the second portal can be spawned and the first portal in the nether re lit. The issue is I don't know if I can do that myself.

Edit: Actually, I think I know of a way I could do it myself, but that would cause another portal connecting to whomever it is's house to spawn in the nether as well. Which I would not want to do to some unsuspecting person.

I've fixed portals so many times, I'll come on tonight and fix em. That portal that yours is connecting to probably is my log cabin.

Oh. Perhaps I should have waited. I have fixed them myself. No harm done, I managed to do it right the first time. That said, once my portal was put in it's proper position it is very very far from your portal. On the other side of the nether fortress. I managed to get to your portal once from mine, but right now it might as well be a maze to me. And I don't really have time tonight to find a safe path though the fortress or go all the way over though the real world. So I hope you don't mind, but I put some stuff in a chest in your house. Can I please keep it there until I am able to retrieve it?

It's actually a few revisions back. The last one was kinda buggy, but the current one looks good. I'll be updating tomorrow. The world will NOT be reset.
