i finished the path from the Bitterwell to spawn. is it okay if i bridge the spawn island with the mainland?
Don't see why not. It ain't very far anyway. Just don't try to bridge the spawn to any other islands.

I might add that the amount of entrances to the caves is amazing. They seem to be everywhere. I'm working on getting grass into the sheep pen right now.

Can I be whitelisted? I kinda feel like digging a hole in a mountain right now.

You may have to travel a bit to find a mountain, but we do have ravines....

No Skybridges. They're ugly and useless. Walk along the ground like everyone else. If you have a plan for a more elaborate bridge, something that looks vaugely realistic, and good, then go ahead.

Jesus.  We got some big oceans on this server.

I was paddling around, trying to see if I can find one of these mythical giant mushroom biomes.  Just decided to take off in a direction, looking for another continent to cruise around.  I think I went from 0,2500 to 0,5100 before I found anything past a tiny island O_o

Tell me about it. I went from around 6500x to nearly 16000x before finding something that seems to be more than a large island.

I think we may need a nether transportation system in the near future ... assuming people out in the ass-end of nowhere want visitors some day.

Well, if anyone finds a large mushroom biome, give me a yell.

As soon as I get enough diamonds for a pick and an enchanting table, I'll work on digging out a rail line back to near spawn. The dwarven tree village doesn't look very good at the moment, but visitors wouldn't be turned away.

On the plus side, it's supposedly roughly 1900 meters away in the Nether.

The huge biomes and large distances between players basically turn the server into singleplayer+chat, sadly. And the occasional visitor if you're lucky. (Not counting teleporting moderators)

My favourite incarnations of this server were the one where we had the Dwarfy town thing in that underground ravine, and one soon after were we had a little town in a snowy are. I was pretty proud of my really big tower there.
I'm keeping an eye on the server until there's signs of something like that arising again.

Eh.  If someone wants to do the town thing in the survival area and we can get (and keep) it fortified against hostiles, I'd consider moving in.
