So I kept spawning in the middle of the ocean, which was somewhat annoying, but I finally seem to have found a place to build and live in. Mind you I am very paranoid about going outside or being in the dark.

Not too far.  I think I wandered past the starting jungle biome, a desert, and then nabbed a mountain.

The one with the sheer face?  Yeah, that one's mine.  I wonder who's got the big castle-looking thing on the nearby mountain, though.

You're in.  The starting platform is a bit sub-par at the moment, as I can't identify the edges of the starting area.
