   We are lucky to live in a world where media, fiction, culture and crazy men standing on street corners give us vital information to combat the supernatural. Ghosts, aliens, demons, and so on would be no match for us and our preemptive knowledge. To help prepare ourselves for apocalyptic forces, we create fictional universes where conjured up people are massacred, save for a few lucky beings armed with shotguns. This universe is no different.

   This time, it was zombies. In an alternate universe, Earthly civilization was wiped out, their ignorance on the undead due to the lack of Romeros, Left 4 Deads and Best-selling anti-zombie literature. Fortunately, you have somehow survived these first few months of destruction. And this is your story. Before we begin, a few essential questions must be answered.

My name is Legion Fredrickson, a 44-year old male. I am a grizzled war veteran, from childhood brought up with distrust to every other human. This led me to prepare lots of supplies in my house and generally isolate my place from outside world, unless I wish it to be otherwise. Those preparations proved invaluable - I was able to entirely barricade myself inside in just half an hour. I look just as you expect me to look - short black hair, permanent frown, scarred face and hands, different-colored eyes - one brown, one gray, burly and tough build. As I already said, I don't trust anyone, but at the same time I have a rigid sense of justice. And a love for animals. And a hate for pretty much everything else. If you've been using aligment grid, I guess I would have fallen somewhere around Lawful Evil. I came from a family not unlike myself, which was the primary reason for my personality. My paren't weren't neither rich nor poor and loved me deeply. When I've gotten conscripted, I liked serving in the Army so much that I turned a full-time soldier, rising quickly through ranks until a realization dawned on me - all this is pointless. War, glory, honor. I resigned and returned to my empty house. I was just starting to put myself at home when the Apocalypse happened. And well, here I am.

Facedown on the roof of a 23 story office building in downtown Chicago.

What do you look like?

Olaf is 5' 10", 140lbs, has medium-length brown hair, and hazel eyes, which are currently somewhat out of focus. He is in shape, but not remarkably muscular. In all, he appears to be the most annoyingly average person you have heard of in quite a long time.

What is your personality?

Dull, concealing a seething hatred for all things living and undead. But particularly for middle management.

What's your background?

Olaf spent a period of time involved with an antigovernment militia when he was younger, gaining substantial experience with small arms, knives, hunting, and the manufacture of crystal meth, but was eventually arrested and spent three years in a mental hospital receiving therapy. After release, he was placed in a work program, where he reintergrated into society and learned several completely useless office-drone skills. For the past 4 years, he has worked as a cubicle dweller in a moderately successful advertizing firm, his ill intent toward his employers and boss growing slowly but surely. Out of pure luck, the day in which he brought a concealed M1911 (a holdover from his youth) to work was the day in which the zombie apocalyse began. He put four rounds through his former manager, then raided his liquor cabinet and refrigerator and locked himself on the roof. He has been there for the past three days, but all that remains of his supplies are the pistol, with 3 rounds remaining in his only magazine, a bottle of water, and an assortment of pens and scraps of paper. Sadly, the last of his boss's mediocre booze has run out, and he is uncertain of what to do next.

Where are you, as precisely as you can tell? Not too far from the Alaskan border in an abandoned logging camp.

What do you look like? 6ft, Stocky build, stubbly hair, large beard.

What is your personality? An antisocial loner. Never really fitted in with the rest of the world and thier ideas.

What's your background? Rob left the rat race behind a long time ago. Following his fathers advice of "education, job, car, wife kids and in that order" got him to uni, but then his father died. Rob left it all behind and went wandering. He has turned his hand to many things - fishing in the Pacific, oil work in the Middle East, and many others. For the last few months he has been working as a logger, arriving earlier today at his new place of work after a weeks hiking throgh the wilderness. However, the camp is abandoned...

by sheer luck, running from place to place, and trying to not to make noise.

Where are you, as precisely as you can tell?
I barricaded myself on a basement, try to not to make any sound if possible, I am hungry, thirsty, and shocked by this, I have a single steak knife as my only defense, I hear them moaning just outside, all of my friends, my family, and a sole pet cat I had, they are all dead,

What do you look like?
brown hair, black eyes, caucasian, 1.69m, black shirt and pants, no socks, and a pair of brown shoes

What is your personality?
I was not very sociable before the apocalypse, I usually caused awkward moments when I spent time with my friends or family, I felt more of a bond with the cat, I get angry, frustrated, and sad easily, I am very negative, and I feel my sanity is dripping from my hands sometimes

What's your background?
I usually was on my own world, the little friends I had actually dont know why we were friends on the first place, my family felt I needed help, that it was just another of the misguided souls on the world... they died.
and soon after I ran house after house, I saw how every single one of my friends was eaten alive, the cat was the only thing left I had, but he left me when the dogs came.

How have you survived the Apocalypse so far?
by using your knowledge of mechanics, setting up traps wherever you take shelter, and occasionally getting items from people that fall prey to your traps.

Where are you, as precisely as you can tell?
Currently, I'm in a building that was under construction... before the zombie horde took over the world.

What do you look like?
Brown hair, black eyes, caucasian, mechanic's jumpsuit, ankle-length gray socks, and a pair of olive-green chucks (shoes).

What is your personality?
I barely gave a single s**t, outside my workplace and apartment, until the zombie horde came. I'm not the most sociable person out there, but I can handle myself if I'm being chatted to. Having a lack of company, I'm starting to feel slightly detached, and incredibly lonely. I yearn to find more survivors to talk to. I keep my depression and loneliness at bay by keeping a flask of whiskey with me at all times.

What's your background?
I was a mechanic in Robert Lee Industrial, before the zombie horde appeared. During the final days of civilization, I've decided to barricade myself in a building that was under construction, and maintained my safe zone there. I managed to modify the generators over there to use car batteries, and managed to light up the place like a christmas tree by linking the wires to light bulbs. I also prepared some traps down at the first floor to protect me, using scraps of bent metal sheets, car engines, pipes and stuff like that.

Eventually, life was starting to get lonely, when nobody, but zombies visited my lair. I decided to make an effort of expanding my "safe zone" and eventually contact someone, and maybe, start a small community in this god-forsaken city.

This will be a multiplayer suggestion game about a group of survivors based around group decision and action, so I'll have everyone's characters starting out in the same place and working together. Expect an intro post from me soon.
