Okay, gettin off. If you want an invite to the guild, message Variscite or Jaydiri for an invite and they'll get you hooked up.

@Criptfeind: Yeah, game relies on partying. Gets a lot better that a way!

So both Escaflips and Rogue can't be selected? They both look so cool :'(

Anyways, What do you guys think is the best class to run solo with? I figured that's what I'll be doing the most and I want to level quickly.I also would like to use a class has plenty of buffs for allies if I ever group up with anyone from the forum. One more question, how important is synergy between classes in this game i.e. : tanks needing healers in order to live through burst or dps, some classes having more disables than damage, etcetera.

Essentially, anyone who finds their character build lacking in one aspect or another should let me know so that we can team up and ruin people more efficiently.

I just realised how incredible Xelors are oh my gosh.

The clock ability with the teleporting around is amazing, and I love nuking everything when I  get my AP jackpot from it. Hnnngggg <3

Hmm that's unfortunate but pretty much what I thought. Anyway, I made a Sacrier named Zomph. That class is a lot of fun... so much mobility and damage. I might start a new Eniripsa too, we'll see how much I want to turn my enemies into zombies.
Eniripsa... Aspirine backwords...? Classes are loosely named after drugs?

Xelor, the time mages are Rolex backwards.

... how did I not notice that about half of the classes are words spelled backwards? And their full names are even references. Sadida's Shoe, Adidas the shoe company; Osamodas's Whip, Sadomasochism; Enutrof's fortune backwards, probably Cra -> Arc, plus the ones we mentioned.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

So that's why the names sound so half-assed. I thought they were French puns or something.

Actually, Iop is.

Iop sounds like Yop, which was a yogurt popular in France. That relates to the insult "yogurt head," which implies that you're unintelligent.

Pnx

I'm trying the game, but it seems to be really grindy.

It's extremely grinding and unforgiving.  I've been playing with some friends for a while.  I wouldn't play this game alone.  Then again, I'm playing a healer, so I can barely handle lvl 10 mobs at level 18...

I get my ass kicked by balls of fur regularly at level 8.
I'm playing as the damn warrior class too.

Also hands are pretty cool, considering I can't actually equip any other weapons yet.
Fuck you and your "Level [Double-digits]" restriction on all the decent equipment, game.
At least my Piwi Hand lets me do something. (11 water damage, 2-3 range, costs 6 AP) I should start putting points into Chance and Intelligence to boost my damage potential now.

PS: To get an ("an" as in 1) extra action point, you need to gain 30 levels and save up all of your ability points from all of those levels.
I'd rather just shove it all into Health or an elemental damage/defence bonus stat and call it a day. At least that'd give me a tangible benefit.

I really hope they overhaul the stat system before the game is 'released'...

Seriously, HP being the only stat worth investing in is kind of sad. Unless you're a Sacrier then it would be awesome simply because big chunks of HP is how I imagine Sacriers. I wish they would just let you increase stats with only one point and follow a similar curve like in dofus. At least then you would get people spending points on it. Then again the way they have the stats set up best build would then be 100 points in every stat to become immune to all damage.

I'm banking on there being a wipe. Unless it's been fully released I am going to keep banking on that. I also may or may not be banking on them pushing the release back for another four or five months when february comes around.

On a less cynical note... Who here agrees there should be a way to level up that doesn't involve tanking your Wakfu into Stasis?

It is kind of interesting what you have to do just to balance out the Stasis you get from killing stuff to level. On the other hand, what's the point of Wakfu/Stasis? Also, what are the keys I've been getting good for?
