I'm sorta guessting they can damage your ship and heal themselves when sucking up your ships HP.
Better yet maybe they are immune to vacuum and create hull breaches.

It seems to just suggest that they need no oxygen and also drain oxygen from any room they're in.  Maybe their ships would have some kind of self-healing augment though.

10 new playable ships, you say? Well... Whatever month it comes out I know what I'll be doing.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

Same. My first thought was "oh sweet, free stuff was released!", followed by massive disappointment.

...then sadness that I still haven't unlocked the Crystal ship... and then depression about the thought of that last red sector not being the Rock Homeworlds yet again...  :'(

Oddly enough I just started playing this again. I managed to win on every ship I have unlocked except Rock A and the stealth ships.. The only ship I haven't unlocked is the crystal cruiser.

Looking forward to the update also.

It's not out yet. I've been refreshing the site waiting for it to go up. I think a lot of people are doing the same thing, because it occasionally 503s.

I guess while waiting you can listen to the new music.

Nice. Sadly, I have to wait a whole half hour before I can get to my computer to check.

So there's some new interesting augmentations in the expansion. One in particular strikes me as quite amusing.

Oh yes oh yesss!
Not for the shield bypass (it's called beam weapons, or ion weapons, or about one volley of dakka...) but for this update.  I thought it was a couple weeks away for some reason!
