I... kind of want to do a forum RPG based in this universe.

It's been literally minutes since you said this and I still don't see the forum game post......

Apparently level 2 oxygen allows sealed fires to continue indefinitely. Someone suggested setting all non-systems parts of your ship on fire as a boarding defence. That has to be the dwarviest way to deal with boarders, right?

Unfortunately I don't see it being practical, can cost a lot of missiles using the fire bomb, costs a power you have to have in the oxygen, useless against rock boarders.

How often do you get rock boarders? Even in the rock homeworlds, I only ended up fighting like 1 or 2 of them.

The big problem is that fire spreads.  So, it won't be long before the fire ends up in your critical systems.

Now, if you only have one crewmember, then instead you can have fire burning in all empty compartments, and no oxygen in all system compartments, except the cockpit which you keep occupied and oxygenized.

I'm not sure how you could actually make that work, unless there's a way to stop oxygen from refilling specific rooms.

In my experience fire doesn't spread through lvl 3 doors.

Does anyone else purposfully disable the enemies telporter shortly before the boarders are spaced, so the buggers die a horrible, oxygen deprived death? Or do you let them teleport back, so they experience that moment of relief, right before their ship goes up in flames. I'm not sure which is more sattisfying now...

I finally got to the final boss with my ship half dead. after a 5 minute fight I destroyed it right as it launched its last volley of missiles, all three of which hit and destroyed me.

"Oh you destroyed that thing that we needed you to destroy and died in the process? Well the galaxy is saved and you will be remembered as a hero. Lol just kidding you still lose."

I even picked up the cryo pod during that run. Time to cheat.
