Twitch seems to be f*ed up and just gives a static grey screen with "twitch" in the middle. Anybody else?

Got my first win last night. The Kestral A is a pretty good ship. It was on easy, standard, but not bad for my 5th game. The rng loved me, handing me a free halberd beam, a drone arm and a few other nifty things (just missed out on the 6-crew achievement). With lvl 3 shields, two defense drones, pre-ignitor, the halberd, the starting laser and a missile (no cloaking), the rebel cruiser didn't stand a chance. Damn the halberd does some damage.

I've got a run going now with the Engi A with the starting ion, a halberd, an (unpowered so far) breach bomb mk II, combat, defense and defense mk II drones, a drone arm, all by the end of sector 5. Oh, and the pre-ignitor as well. As soon as I get the breech mk II online, I could take the boss with just that. Maybe a few other odds and ends, but this one looks like a winner as well. Straight after the last one too!

Sometimes the rng loves you (plus, the easy scrap bonus helps. And standard content to lower the rng's pool o' shite).

Works for me.

Twitch is bouncing traffic to quantserve and facebook. It appears to be an ad thing. It may be hitting adblock and stopping me from getting through. This is new. I did not have a problem with pax.

Twitch is bouncing traffic to quantserve and facebook. It appears to be an ad thing. It may be hitting adblock and stopping me from getting through. This is new. I did not have a problem with pax.
I've got adblock too, still no issues. Could be your internet speed or something?

Dang it. Died again with the Kestrel B. The most stupid thing was that I Killed the entire crew via boarders, but an AI comes on even though I have a boarding crew on it....

Does the Engi nano-bot augment level up with your med-bay? No need for it this run (sold already), but it might be useful to know later.

Ha, Glyph was down to 2 hull after the first jump with the Stealth C on Hard, but we're still alive three sectors later! Maybe not alive for LONG...

That was pretty fun to watch. Makes me want to play on hard. I'll probably die quickly.

Good news, I got the Mantis B.

Got the, "Kill five crew while taking no hull damage," achievement.

In those event's where you are boarded while still having to fight a teleporterless ship, the boarders technically count as crew.

In the end, it mainly came down to luck. I was boarded by 4 zoltan, and fought a zoltan ship (Manned by 2 zoltan.) while having a zoltan shield bypass.

I am apparently on some kind of roll today. Never beat the Flagship in all my time of owning the game (which is about a year or two), manage to beat it twice today. Once with Lanicus B (yay Lanicus borders), and once with Zoltan A (Got myself a vulcan and heavy missiles). Both times I also managed to grab my hands on a hull repair drone, which was a key part of my victory. Being able to sit back and heal my hull up after each fight was very important and definitely saved my life more than once.

Guys. that was just amazingly fun. It's also nice to think about how both deaths, even on hard mode, were entirely my own fault. Getting screwed over by the RNG is one thing, but playing well past where anyone should have been able to survive and then losing in a fair fight because of your own decisions... it's really glorious.

Perhaps next time you guys won't pick "Hard Mode Stealth C" and "Hard Mode Engi B", and I can actually grab a victory. :)
