The Pilot and their cargo handlers paused when they saw that the entire camp is covered in eldritch runes coated in blood. And rotting monkey corpses everywhere..

They decide that they didn't get paid enough for this..

If you guys want you still have control over Jujufrobo as well. He is lucky enough to be on the opposite side of the chasm from the GCS, even if he is a couple feet below where he needs to be.

kobold: engrave some ledges to climb up
dorf: build butcher shop, harves wereblood, drink the blood of your kills, use the skin as armor, and use the meat as food.

Check the noise. Distillation takes a while and you don't want to be bothered.

Besides, whoever can make that noise must have supplies!

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.
