female dwarf should think twice about trying to help the speardwarf,  instead should just pass the time by gathering some plants to eat and wait to see if help will come from the main fort.

Practice your engraving skill by smoothing the ground you stand on and immortalizing the scene. That should help!

You know nothing about any migrants! Some sort of messenger would have to tell you about them before you knew of such a thing. And since no one has done so, the thought is just silly!
