I was in an abandoned E.V.I.L outpost then entered a tunnel system which can take me to Ursiva and/or Aninthor, is that wrong?

You are in an abandoned E.V.I.L outpost, that you traveled through E.V.I.L's tunnel systems (Why would there be military down there? ) from Ursiva in the first place, to get to your tower. Are you going back to Ursiva purposely, or do you want to go to your tower?

I wish to go to my tower, but didn't I go back to a tunnel system by going down the ladder? Also, I meant to avoid the patrols once I am above ground.

You went from Eritias, to Ursiva with plans on going to your tower, but you were stopped by someone near the exit who warned you about the military above. Then you took the tunnels to the Abandoned Outpost to reach your tower. You need to climb up the ladder to leave, down, as you've discovered, leads back to the Tunnel system.

(Also, as mentioned a while back, the outpost is out in the mountains. If there's Military there, it's far too late for your tower.)

Oh, I misread that first question. Haha, it's the same ladder you just climbed down.

Ah, I was utterly confused for a second there. Also, is it a mere coincidence (which I doubt) or 'Elpidio and the Mad Lich' has a rather meaningful name?

That also tells us something about Elpidio: he is VERY powerful, but not enough so to be a demigod.

The story is metaphorical, in some way. I just can't figure out what yet.
