This all makes perfect sense.

E: Also, a theory on this Elpidio guy. He isn't real, and never was. The "Elpidio was here" tag is used to denote when you've found an EVIL base. The vast repertoire of books attributed to his name were all written by members of EVIL (other Franks?), under the pen-name Elpidio.

I do believe the would be help he found is Xeron. Also, didn't the only free elemental advance forward to pick the crate, hence, still covering Melritch from enemy fire?

He said he found a few helpers, not just one. And you never specified who took the Crate from Frank.

Heh...oops. He seems like a gnome to me. Dunno why.

I'm guessing Ezriel has triggered some sort of auto-scrying, and is thus one of the other helpers?

No, it's Xeron and some NPCs, but if you met Frank he'd mention you to Melritch as well.

Isn't the free elemental the only one who could pick the crate up though? Not that it matters right now.

Random question: does a well equiped level 15 mage with temporary summons stand a chance against, say, 4 Orcish Champions?

That would be anything that increases Intelligence/Willpower.

I wasn't sufficiently clear. I meant to ask wheter there are high end offensive spells which apply the Magic Bonus Damage multiple times.

Example: Sphere of Annihilation: inflicts 30 + 3x MBD damage on a single target.
