Aninimouse can my sword get stronger as i level up?

And PokemonRocks: Only if you upgrade it yourself. (Whether you're paying an NPC/Player to do it, or actually doing it yourself.)

I mean can I do an X+Y=Z type of thing with spells of the same type.(arcane bolt + lightning bolt = arcane lightning bolt, for example)

No, you'll need to either learn a spell from a tome, or another mage/player to do something like that, or experiment with spells until you learn it yourself.

That answers positively and negatively to the question. I'm just going to assume that you answered yes to it being possible, but no to the notion of whether or not it can be done without learning how.

I assumed you had meant if you could just "do it". Yes, spells consisting of multiple Elements are possible, but you can not randomly make up and cast such spells mid-battle.

Can elementals  be improved once willpower, intelligence and the relevant magic skill are sufficiently high? Or is there a better version of the spell, which summons, say, a greater elemental.

Currently, Summons aren't effected by Intelligence or Willpower. There are only improved versions. However, the amount of mana it takes to cast summons never increases.

(Oh, and you don't have the mana to cast Arcane Bolt at the moment in your fight vs. Chris.)

Q: Does realistic biology end up in the game? I'm currently bleeding out from knife and glancing wounds, do I bleed out? Leather armor + Elven Cloak = Def!

So far, hard mode seems to be the most immediately rewarding. I've gotten the highest jump in equipment quality, hit level two before I even got to start my adventures, killed a mage hunter(learning parts of their mana burn skill), and killed a(presumably) large amount of a city's guards without taking any actual damage. In the process, my hidden agenda of getting most of the prisoners killed succeeded too.
