It is pretty much simple that melrich will be the evil character trying to destory the world or something like that.

No, that's just a player-induced sub-plot.

There isn't really much of a need for the 'combat grid' right now, it's just you against two wolves, there aren't really any special tactics you could use with movement and positioning.

The grid was probably only applied to Melritch due to both the number of combatants on each side and the simultaneous presence of Ranged and Melee, with enough distance between them for it to matter.

My summoning action was meant to be an out-of-battle action, just in case you were confused by what I meant, Anin.

Also, I did not receive a PM from you at any time last night.

I might have just pressed the preview button then closed the tab. I'll resend it. It might have been for adwarf. For some reason I keep confusing you two.

Yet another question! hehe...

How long does it take to regain mana?

In battle = 1 per turn
Out of battle = almost instantly if it has a small enough cap

Just out of curiosity...
Suppose I were to acquire a bear, and an owl. Now, I'm not suggesting anything to trite as the creation of an owlbear, but let's just use those an example. What would I need to do, in order to create an amalgamation of the two? A blending, perhaps. We'll call it a bearowl.
Suppose I wanted to do this with any two creatures? Or if I wanted to take a creature, and modify it. Say, give it magical abilities or some-such.

And, as far as creating weapons of magical mass destruction go. How about that? Like, if I wanted to modify the telescope so that I can cast spells over a wide-swath of area. Maybe not just for destructive purposes, I'm sure some druid could use it to end a drought or something.

No way, Melritch likes the world too much to pull that off... How else would he find things to kill?

If you make Owlbears then so help me I will kill you, I will hunt you down and kill you.  If I fail then my corpse shall raise from its grave and hire the Blackstone sisters to kill you, and tell Melritch that you have something that he wants, and then hunt you down again and kill you.
I don't care if I get kicked off for meta-gaming I will make sure that those things never exist in this world.
Never.

As a DM I've always disliked the things, they're the least thought-out creature in the entire handbook, and impossible to fit into most of my campaigns.  However, several months ago I was thinking about them as I went to bed and that night I had one of the worst nightmares I have ever experienced, and it of course involved owlbears.  Several weeks later a similar nightmare occurs, and two days after that again.  Luckily the dreams have not returned yet, but (as is fairly obvious) I still hate the things with a passion.
