(Damn Deus Ex Machina of a gnome).

B) Have Melritch and the Elemental Arcane bolt the Gnome. The guards are to charge the gnome immediatly. Both the elementals and the guards are to hamper him from attacking me, at any cost (there is one capable of immediatly engaging the him, if I am not wrong).

(On a side note, isn't he a bit too strong even for his level? 95 HP on a 4th level high mana mage NPC? The tiles are a nice addition though, well done).

(Damn Deus Ex Machina of a gnome).

That's Chompski for you.

(On a side note, isn't he a bit too strong even for his level? 95 HP on a high mana mage? The tiles are a nice addition though, well done).

The measurements of his mana are relative to his max mana, not to the average mana of an NPC his Level. He isn't even a full on Mage. And, being a Gnome, his Health is actually below average as well.

--------------

You cast Arcane Bolt on the Gnome, dealing 18 Damage! (7 Resisted) He seems to have a bit of resistance to Arcane Magic, perhaps that's what he'll be using against you himself.

Your Elementals unleash a volley of Arcane Bolts on the Gnome, dealing 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 Damage. (7/7/7/7/7 Resisted)

The Risen Guards begin their Charge, as the Enemy begins theirs.

~~~~~~~~~~Melritch~The~Mad~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you for mentioning that, you made me notice I forgot to change your Magic Resistances. You should have 'Magic Resistances: +2 (+3) (All), +2 (Stone), +4 (Arcane)'
You would be correct though, although there's also a +1 Bonus from your Defense.
And yes, their energy is calculated.
--------------
You cast Stonebolt on the Gnome, dealing 23 Damage! (5 Resisted)
Your Elementals unleash a volley of Arcane Bolts on the Guards, dealing 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 Damage. (2/2/2/2/2 Resisted)
The Gnome casts a Healing Spell, restoring 25 Health. "Take down the Lich, ignore his minions!" He shouts, in his high pitched Gnomish voice.
Tala whistled a forlorn tune, mulling her choices. Go back? Never. If she lost her nerve now, any chance of becoming the Inheritor and serving her family would be lost.
Onwards to Manenneos? The safest choice...but she had been to the city before.
Her young, foolish heart wanted adventure, excitement, passion. Bring on the Dragons already.
Off the beaten path then, she decided with a small smile, clicking for Peryton to take the next worn footpath North, into the Forestlands.
She knew there were Elves in these forests-she wanted to visit one of their cities, places she had never been allowed to go...her mother had said they were an unfriendly, dangerous lot. Truly, Hot Human tempers had clashed with cold Elven intellects before, and it was hardly different with her family-but in this case, her great great grandmother had actually killed one of them in a duel over a man, so the story went. The impossibly long Elven blade she and her sisters had seen hanging in the trophy room-the one she had partially based her own swords design upon-was proof of the dire deed.
Hmm, Elves probably had long memories, didn't they...
You approach a random house, a small, windowless wooden one.
A)Knock on the Door
B)Attempt to Open the Door
C)Nevermind
~~~~~~~~~~Tala~Blackstone~~~~~~~~~~

You begin to travel into the forest to the North. The forest here is relatively sparse, so it would be much easier to spot approaching wildlife or bandits.

A)Continue Onwards to the North
B)Head back to the South, to the Road
C)Turn to the West
D)Turn to the East
E)Look Around Carefully

Tala took a look to her left and right, pausing to sweep her hair back from her brow with both hands. She didn't truly think any bandit was brazen enough to lurk around here-so close to the estate-but, she also knew the protection it held was a false comfort. Hungry animals would not fear her families territory either.

She undid the leather flap on her blade sheaf.

Always ready.

Ezriel supposed that such a book would be of use to him, if he ever decided to conquer the Dwarven Territories. That was not exactly in the stars at the moment, however...

~~~~~~~~~~Tala~Blackstone~~~~~~~~~~
You continue onwards to the North for another fifteen or so minutes. To the west, you see the mouth of a cave set in the side of a hill. You recognize the cavern, it contains only a single, empty chamber. Nothing of interest to you now.
A)Continue Onwards to the North
B)Travel to the South
C)Turn to the West, towards the Cave
D)Turn to the East
You continue even further up the tower, coming across a room filled with old, broken pieces of Alchemical and Enchanting Equipment. Little of it looks to be salvageable.
The Warlock flicked his wrist, his throat moving out of time with his voice once more as he illuminated the room with a spell. Very little of it was worth saving, but he'd be the judge of that...later.
~~~~~~~~~~Ezriel~~~~~~~~~~

You continue upwards, to the highest floor of the tower. Sunlight is let in through a gaping hole in the wall. Around you, are tables of more equipment, although some of it is strange, and alien to you. Placed next to the gap in the wall, is a strange, copper tube set on a wooden stand of some sort. It looks to be of Dwarvern Make... It takes you a few moments to recognize it as a Telescope, but to your knowledge, those are used to look up, at the night sky. If that's true, why is it pointed in the direction of the Mountain Homes to the Southeast?

She did remember that cave. Tala smiled at the memory-the first time she had ventured out from her estate a few years ago-even more foolish than she was now. It was far as she had gotten. The storm that kicked up that night had been terrible, yea, and it had been a warm shelter.

The next morning, she scooted back to her families warm hearths and soft beds with her metaphorical tail between her legs, her sisters musical laughter and friendly taunting trailing her for weeks. She felt the need to visit it again, for something akin to closure-the end of her last journey, the beginning of this one.

She remembered carving her initial into the smooth stone walls with her knife before she left-seeing the inscription again would be enough.
