B) Asha looked at the bookstore. Perhaps it would be best to try some independent study on her own first. The Mage's Guild would likely have entrance exams, and learning a bit on her own first certainly wouldn't hurt matters.

~Asha~Blackstone~ (I think I'll try this type of notation instead.)
B) What she needed, whether she joined the Mage's Guild or struck out on her own, was some good offensive magic. She was already skilled with Light, Nature, Water, and basic Arcane methods of spellcasting, so she looked for books that would play to her strengths in those areas. Failing that, she would look for books on Shock and Air.

~Asha~Blackstone~

A, then E) Asha considered how much money she had versus how much she might need to live on. If she bought all four books, that would leave forty copper to buy food and lodging with. Probably not enough. On the other hand, as long as she was in town, she could stay in the nunnery at no charge... or possibly the Mage's Guild, should she be accepted. At the very least, learning what she could from these books would probably give her enough skills that she could do other kinds of work.

She bought all four and headed back to her room at the nunnery to read them, starting with the Light Spellbook (Offensive) as she was best at Light magic.

Melritch
A)
*Will immense pain upon the rebellious Vampire.
*Continue working on Christopher's "soul jar (sword)" (is it alright for his undead version to be treated as a NPC from now onwards?).
*Have all the undead come back to the tower they can be properly equiped.

"Ah, so you've awaken up... Wait, is that right...? The undead don't really sleep, but... Oh well, let's leave the particularities of your body's nature to another date, what matters, my meddling friend, is that you certainly are no longer among the living. Welcome to team... I might have made it a partnership, but then again, you did make me lose well over half a dozen bodies back there with that inopportune little assault of yours. Oh, before I forget myself, don't bother playing at being a rebellious twit, I've already taken... measures... against that... Still, should you wish to persist, I suppose there are worse forms of entertainment than foiling your righteous anger".
