You flee into Ecanomina, but the roads and walkways all look empty... It's quite eerie, especially in the darkness of this moonless night. You notice the tree your home is located within nearby, maybe your armour and weapons are there? You have time to prepare before the Spider can reach the city...

Though Tala bristled at the guard mentioning 'many' defeats-which she was sure as a veiled insult-she couldn't deny what he was saying. Blood calls to blood. Vengeance called to vengeance. The Blackstones were only one of the families that could be found with a hand in almost every battle Humanity fought-against Elves, Dwarves, Orcs or monsters. They were there.

And the family nursed their grudges. They did not forgive.

"...I suppose you have a point.

When the only thing you know of a people is the points of their blades flashing toward you, you generally form a strong opinion. And that is all my people have ever known.

Pointless wordplay aside, what news is there? Why are the Orcs here? Why is the city so silent?"

You approach your home, calling out for anyone that might be around, but no one answers your call. Opening the door, you're alarmed to find that everything is covered in a layer of black vines.

"It is quiet because it is quite early in the morning. And, I do not know of what business we have with the Orcs, and even if I did, I have a feeling that I would not be permitted to speak of it." He replies.

Feleris

A. "I guess I am dreaming," the Elf said flatly.

'Want to Wake Up yet?'

'If I can't then I'll just run through the vines...'

'Remember you lost a dagger to them.'

'I'll keep an eye out for it.'

"It was the same when we arrived yesterday, and that was dusk.

Is this city full of ghosts, or is that just a trait or Elves to sleep early and rise late?"

Tala began to get suspicious. She looked over at Asha worriedly. She took a half step toward her. She didn't want to spill blood needlessly..but she also knew, if a fight started, they would go for Asha first.

Upon thinking of the dagger, you notice something gleaming beneath the mess of vines.

Feleris

A. 'Hey, think of a giant flyswatter next!'

"This is really strange."

Reach quickly and pull the gleaming object out.

Quickly.

You reach into the mass of vines, as they swiftly wrap themselves around your arm. You struggle to pull your arm, and the object away, but once you do you realize that the object certainly wasn't your dagger... It appears to be a beautifully crafted Elven Longsword. Made from silver, by the looks of it.

A. 'Well this is better than a flyswatter!'

Hack away at those vines!

Smite those vines with my blade, searching for anything else of use.

Tala nodded to the Elf, not entirely convinced...

"Very well. Let it be known that the services of the sisters Blackstone are available to your rulers, should they deign to employ us.

...Off to the market then, sister?"

You finally get your revenge on the vines for stealing your dagger. After slicing at them, maybe a few times too many, you hear screams outside.

A) Asha acquiesced, allowing Tala to lead. "Perhaps we will have more luck in commerce than royalty," she commented idly as they walked. It made sense to her that Elves would take things slowly. They had centuries to get things done. Humans... not so much. She picked up the pace just thinking about it.
