Feleris eyed the creature, with the arrow sticking out of the thorax. It was huge, it had twice as many appendages and most of all; it was RED. He swiftly adjusted his bow and dropped both hands to his leather girdle, holding his trusted knives. It seemed the arrow had no effect but a minor wound, this did not bode well. Though, he had twice the number of sharp ends than pincers.

"This is quite the trouble. Let's hope you aren't poisonous eh?"

Asha put her other hand on Tala's shoulder to steady her. "...As it happens, yesterday I was thinking of leaving town too, but it's a dangerous world out there. I'm not a combatant, although I've taken a few steps to change that. If you want, we can travel together, for a time." She looked to the docks. "There's no chance of taking a ship. I attempted to find one yesterday and was told none are available."

Feleris fell backward into a crouch, his left hand slipping to the gash along his midsection. This was a strong foe, though through the pain, he quietly chanted in the words of the Elfin loresayers. His armor, made for mobility, saved him by half an inch from a full hit by the mandibles. He felt warmth course through his left hand, then to his wound and numbing the pain.

Through an onlooker's eyes, it would seem as if nothing had happened, but Feleris felt something akin to a spirit -his spirit- intervening in the battle. A light tug in the mind, an intangible feeling of clarity. He felt ready for another hit.

From the momentum of his roll, Feleris felt his daggers cross against themselves, presenting for a good opening. He felt a surge of power, whether it was adrenalin or not, he couldn't tell.

He just hoped this would cut it.
