All fat. Gone.
« on: January 13, 2012, 01:25:14 am »

So I had an engraver running around my fort. I'm seeing a bit of blood about, and I check him out, and it says that all of the fat on his Upper body, Lower body, Arms etc. is gone. And he's just bleeding everywhere. Then he dies. The hell happened to this guy? He's not in any combat logs....?

Melted. Look for fires. Or magma. Or incredibly high max temperatures in world gen.

It's a bug. Fatty tissue in DF has an absurdly low melting point... something like 110 degrees Fahrenheit. When it reaches that temperature, it just melts right out of the body.

Oh. Well he was mucking about hauling candy from around some magma. That might've done it?

if you melt their fat by little amounts, like, an arm today and the second tomorrow, you might make them stay alive through the entire process to become fat-free heat-immune dwarves.
