You remember now. You are Rendel "Ren" Jorikson, a sneaky rouge. The object is your Magazine fed Flintlock. It has served you well for a long time, the spiked magazine has stabbed many a man. It is fully loaded, but you have no spare ammo. You were inside a village in the west of the empire of Valinton trying to steal some crap until you were knocked out. You were certain that the corpse in the room was not there before.

That corpse in the room has nothing when you search it, but it has long claw marks. You realise something is wrong. However you need to stay the night, and choosing a place to stay is a good idea. You know that there is a forge, chapel, carpenters workshop, farmstead and barracks.

Also, get some wood from the Carpentry workshop, and some food from the farmstead if any.

Search for weaponry in the barracks or forge.

Sleep in the Chapel while praying.

2 HOURS TILL NIGHTFALL
You rush to grab food and wood. You manage to grab 3 loaves of bread and 5 flasks of water. You go to the carpenter workshop and only find a single plank.
You then stash them in the chapel.
The forge and barracks hold these:
Tin Dagger
30 rounds pistol ammo
Iron pike
Iron pick
Tin Spear
Mining Splosives x3
Long-life Rations

You head to the chapel and pray to Moset, god of theivery.

How deep were those claw marks?
And are the chapel windows large enough for a humanoid to fit through?

Those claw marks were FUCKING deep.
No, the Windows are not large enough.
You do not have time as something attacks the door.
??? Attacks door! 1 damage dealt.

What do you do?

Start by firing a couple of rounds at and through the door.

It will be broken anyway, those two shots would serve as a precaution.

Get ready to fight.

Unless...we're talking about those large, heavy-set doors with a barring block.

Listen for anymore sounds, and to your intuition.

If safe, check past that door.

You think you are safe, until two more moans from behind the door appear. Well, what used to be the door.
These monsters are grotesque parodies of whatever humanity they used to have.
