Question about thread display options

A certain thread keeps getting replies in it, but I am no longer interested in said thread. It always jumps to the top of my "Show new replies to your posts" page, which is aggravating. Is there any way that I can remove this particular thread from the replies list?

Yes I know that this technically isn't the right place for this kind of question, but we technically don't have a place for this kind of question.

IIRC, there's no way to remove the thread. I suppose you could just try not clicking on it? That shouldn't be too hard.

This is true, but my New Replies page is flooded with replies from the Happy thread, the Sad thread, the Rage thread, and a dozen other threads that I have not even visited for several months to a year. The threads that I recently posted in and want to post in are mostly pushed to the second page. If there is a solution, I am determined to find it.

Profile > Notifications > Uncheck everything.

Email notifications aren't my problem. They are off and have always been off.

Up in the top-right of that "show new replies" list, there's a button to "mark all as read". That saves you the trouble of going through all of them. There's no way to stop them from appearing entirely, though.

Right, I've been doing that, but the problem is that someone posts in the Happy thread like every 45 seconds. Oh well, I'll just have to deal with it.

You could set your display to list the maximum amount of threads per page. It's what I do. (modify profile > look and layout)
