@IronyOwl, Leafsnail and Urist I.: What is up with my stating of a plan that got you all caught up on it? Why would you want me explaining it-- to save me from the lynch because it may seem like a last-ditch opportunity? That is how I interpreted your statements about it.

I'm not nervous or afraid. I'm not afraid of the lynch nor am I any role that would benefit of such. If any of you expect me to back away because of fear, well, I'm proving that wrong.

I'm pretty well sure everyone else here has a plan, I just stated that I have one openly. And, no; I'm not using that statement as a scapegoat to imitate activity, but to see how many are actually hunting scum. Jumping on the guy who did state he has a plan sounds strange for those who say they are scumhunting.

Besides, if I was scum, why would I even state any of that when I would have a chat channel with them or expose myself just like this? I'm only acting on what I see.

As I see it, GG shortened because he said he'd do it, in GTDaL-thread. I didn't like PM's reaction, since the shorten really had no chance to go through. I find this a tell similar to a thing I do on IRC: in 3p situations, someone fakevotes and I immediately state clear, as if I hadn't noticed the fakeness.

It's a rather small tell though. Glyphgryph did go pretty aggressive over it, and I can't really recall the meta for him.

I think PM is town. Not too sure about GG.

Not really what I want answered from you. I want an answer to why you freaked out and made a huge post and quoted Dakarian's scumhunting bible, as if that's supposed to help you or mean anything.

Jim Groovester: I know that I seem like scum right now, but let me make this clear. What was going on between GG and PM seemed to me to be two people bickering on every little detail on each other's posts. I read it all, to say the least. It did not help anyone except the two, in my opinion.

Currently, I have no other answer to why I was stepping in, just whatever I said before and this: A feeling that either both are town and are wasting their efforts other than getting attention on the real scum or that their actions are hiding scum due to the attention. Does it makes me seem like scum because I'm following my intuition when many are being vague themselves? (Other than the scum know town thing).

I'm pretty much done with this line of inquiry (because u r scum), but one more question: Why did you think both of them were town?

I thought at best it would add pressure, and if not best it would conceivably get him to scumhunt on his own. My posts day 1 are attempts to get someone to either break and show scum colors, or to spend time pressure someone else (as I pressure them), in the hope that the second person might throw some tells. I'm a strong believer that talking too much is better than talking too little for pretty much everyone that isn't scum. And in my mind, it's a way of applying pressure.

This may very well be an incredibly shitty strategy. I could very well be completely wrong. I've never pretended to be good at this game. I just do what I do.

I'm not entirely sure what part of the post you would consider a "freak out", though - it obviously reads much different for you than it does for me.

When someone says that they can't explain what they're doing because that might tip off the scum, I'm inclined to believe that it's either an awesome fucking plan that has to remain so secret in order to work, or that they're scum who doesn't want to have to explain themselves. At some point, your "plan" is going to run its course, and then you'll be out of excuses to not explain it. It's then going to be a really, really good plan that I can totally see wanting to keep secret, or I'm going to lynch you for being lying, shifty scum.

Yes, because I've been sitting on my ass and clearly not posting at all. If you think I've been acting scummy, come out and say it. If you think it's poor town play, tell me what exactly I should be doing instead - right now, PM and Tiruin look like scum to me, and neither of them have responded to my posts directed against them. I suppose that, yes, I could ignore them and go after someone else. Come tonight, when I'm not at work, I probably will. But I don't intend on forgetting about him. I don't want him to think he can slip away.
