Way to fail to say anything beyond "oh god your applying pressure to someone who's answers you didn't like you must be really bad scum" and making a false equivalence.

Way to act like children.
Is there a point to all of that, or are you going to keep bickering until the game ends?

Unvote.

More later.

If I could instantly hammer you, Glyph, I would.

You're being hyper-aggressive in your defense and passive in your defense. It's not looking like you're able to defend yourself, but you're hoping you can deflect negative attention from yourself onto others.

Please. Expound. If you want to see me lynched, lay out your arguments and try to convince people to lynch me. When you come up with arguments worth responding to, I'll respond to them, but I'm not going to waste time and effort playing games with you. If you have something to say, say it - don't just sit there waving your hands and saying "if I could hammer you right now I totally would".

That's nice and all, but I don't see how its helpful. If you think I'm lynchworthy, do something about it.

Orangebottle:
I assume that "more later" indicates that you have some sort of explanation for the odd unvote. Can you give us an idea of when we'll get a post with a bit more in the way of content?

I think those are perfectly valid reasons to lynch you. You're acting like scum. You bend under pressure, and then go stonewall. You are overly aggressive on others. You should be lynched.

Perfectly acceptable reasons, actually. Explain how they're not.

Seriously. Expound. Say something of value. Show your work, here.

Let's review:
Quote
I kept my vote on you because of how you reacted to the vote. That is passively.
You voted me. I asked if you had any questions to go along with the vote. You insulted me, and failed to add anything in the way of content, so I adressed your post and moved on. I had no particular interest in or benefit to gain from responding in any other way to seemingly random accusations, and there was more to gain by watching other people's reactions while I spent some time doing things I felt were more productive.

I wasn't "trying to avoid your ire". I simple, very honestly, do not particularly care what you think.

Exactly what pressure did I bend under?

Any pressure I apply to you causes you to recoil into passivity. And my bad for assuming you knew what stonewall meant. I assumed someone of your rambling verbosity would know what the silent treatment would be in grandiose English.

I'm thinking along the lines of any power role, not specifically if he is scum.

Unvote

Why'd you back off your vote?

Powder Miner and GlyphGryph: Why continue the battle on each other this early? From what I see, making a duel here would only impact a very small part of us thirteen. Also, I have a tiny inkling lurking in the back of my head saying that this will not end well for town if you both pool your energies on this.

You don't have any stake in the argument, why do you give a shit to end it?

Using phrases like 'this will not end well for the town' make me think you're just trying to tout your towniness without actually contributing the only thing that matters, i.e., scumhunting.

Don't then. It will still be there later for analysis, if you decide one of us needs it, and if I decide it's worth pursuing a lynch. As to what I'm getting at - I'm getting responses, not just from Powder Miner, but from everyone else. The way people react to an exchange like this is often just as important as the information contained in the exchange itself.

Not really what I want answered from you. I want an answer to why you freaked out and made a huge post and quoted Dakarian's scumhunting bible, as if that's supposed to help you or mean anything.

Also, that's not how my name is spelled.

I know, GryphGlyph.

Also, I'll be unable to post from tonight to tomorrow afternoon.

My apologies, Tiruin. I seem to have missed your post.
And you need to practice your town game by...voting Dariush with the intention of a full-on-lynch?
Yes. The vote was merely pressure, though.

Orangebottle:
I assume that "more later" indicates that you have some sort of explanation for the odd unvote. Can you give us an idea of when we'll get a post with a bit more in the way of content?
The 'more later' indicates that I don't have enough time/resources to post a post with a lot of content right now, so I'll try to make one later. How was my unvote odd?

In the past, one scum strategy I've used is to find the players who aren't playing well, and try to help them by quoting useful texts and correcting them. So, when I see you making posts like this, it sets off alarm bells. You're also being incredibly aggressive, considering we're still in RVS. Accusing PM of activelurking/not scumhunting in the first stage of the game is, quite frankly, ridiculous.

Powder Miner:referencing games in progress is generally frowned apon.

Ottofar: What's your opinion on the current argument between PM and GlyphGryph?
Why aren't you doing anything?

What do you think of that, Ottofar?  Lurkers and "not really playing the game at all"ers are bad for the game, right?  Should we be going after lurkers to make sure they don't slip under the radar and ruin the game?

With lack of better targets yes.
Excellent.

Then I'm gonna suggest to everyone that we lynch you right now unless you start actually playing.  We can't read people if they only make occasional fluff posts.  I want a message sent to scum that if they want to win they have to at least come out into the open and let us try to read them.

Even ignoring the obvious contradiction up there... WHAT THE FUCK? Did you shorten just to set up the first player who opposes it, GG?
Also, it looks like you looked through all interactions of PM (who is among the newest players) with other players and promptly attacked for not following an RVS question and then demanded immediate answers because he's online and accused him of doing nothing except defending despite doing the same thing yourself (except replace 'defending' with 'tunneling the fuck out of'. Yeah, you're really out of practice of being scum.
This argument is all over the place.  There's a contradiction you aren't telling us, but you will tell us about he attacked a player who happens to be newish and then say that GG is being hypocritical in spite of him doing something completely different to what he accused someone else of.

So, want to rephrase your case in a way that makes some degree of sense?

-snip-

Firstly, all I see in their posts is a duel for ideas, either side trying to prove the other wrong. I'm trying to be open-minded about this, if they're both town then they're just wasting details on proving each other wrong; and only on each other. From where I see it, scum won't draw that much attention to each other and bus each other like so.

And if they are both town, my take is the scum will take advantage of the attention lapse (doesn't seem like any) and quietly hide amongst the rest. Hence, unvote.

But I'm still watching them, GlyphGryph wants answers to most of his questions ASAP; strange thing there. PM is on the defense, the only focus of GG's attack. I'm wondering why both of them are like this now, if either one of them gets lynched and turns town, then where will they turn?

Also, I think some missed this part of my vote-post:
I've noticed the only one you've been hounding was Powder Miner, why so? And the need for ASAP answers?

@Jim: To your earlier post which I've missed,
I'm really wondering how requesting a shorten means he wants to get to the night sooner because he is scum.

It's not anything I've seen before, but I don't see the connection.
I'm assuming the presence of Power Roles here, not just scum.

Ottofar: Are you lurking? I've only seen one post of yours, as an answer to Leafsnail's vote on you. What can you make of all this?
GlyphGryph: It wouldn't hurt to actually quote the link of the post you're replying to.

Urist_McArathos: Suppose you were a JOAT with the standard loadout. When and who would you use your abilities on?

Hmm, good question.  I guess I'd investigate someone N1 or N2, ideally someone hard to read or a vital target like Jim or Leafsnail.  I'd probably not bother with Webadict as he'd likely be NKed too early for it to matter if he was town.  My vig kill would be someone questionable after this, unless I'd found scum with my inspect that also evaded the noose.  I'd probably kill them instead.

Roleblock and Doctor I'd save for when someone claimed a role that needed protection, and block when a power role made itself apparent and had a likely suspect for it.

I've never been a JOAT, so I can only guess this would be a good use of one-shot powers.

Urist_McArathos
I honestly wasn't a fan of your last post. It sends off all these little scum vibes to me.
You question him about an action clearly intended to and successful at eliciting a response, but completely leave off mention of the fact that he wants you to trust him "because it's good for him"? And see it as the perfect opportunity to jump to an easy target? Just seems a bit off.

To me, we were still in RVS at that point.  I got Webadict talking, but more importantly he got to talking with you (which was what I wanted to see; why he suspected you enough to vote).  OB is hardly an easy lynch target this far in, but getting some pressure and discussion going from him was easy, so perhaps that's what you meant by it.

Also going with Ottofar as a Lynch all Lurkers policy vote, unless he contributes more (this is doubly important for me, since I'm not new enough to know his meta well enough to get a read from these sparse posts).
