Busy for most of the rest of the day - Powder Miners content didn't leave me all that happy, but his posts didn't read scum to me either. Since he's been active, he's off the hook for now.

Tiriun, meanwhile, manages to seem scummier with every post, and since I don't know if I'll have time to post again, I'm going to leave my vote on the scum.

(Mind you - I should have time to post again, if I post during the RP I run, but I'm definitely not going to have much time for analysis)

GlyphGryph is where my vote will be when the day ends.
Why not right now?

PPE:

...

Okay, now I'm going to take a deep breath and explain why you're scum simply because of that sentence: 1) You bandwagon without even the slightest explanation; 2) You don't even deign to explain what's scummier with every Tiruin's post; 3) With day ending today, you leave here that accusation and run away. Nice going, there.

OB. PM does what PM does. I deem it him minding his town-business, therefore I think he's town.
No.
I cannot point out what makes me think so.

PM. Being asked what do I think of you and GG, and answering truthfully does not buddying make.

First thing, I really need to improve on grammar and how to word sentences.

Second, this will be a wall of text, but I can't avoid it as timezones stop the day (11pm EST, I'm at GMT +8 and will be busy in the later morning {RL}, don't check if I'm lurking or not because I won't)... before I can act in any coherent manner (i.e. Staying up all night to get things right)

So I'll just drop it all here.

Alright,
@IronyOwl (and all the rest who wonder): The lack of explanation for my plan was not because I couldn't explain myself, but it was all right there in between the lines.
That's not what you said earlier:

@Urist I.: I do remember who I'm questioning, Orangebottle. I'm just not giving other reasons on why I said I'm waiting as it may tip off the scum to my plan.

Why are you lying to us?
The one directed at Urist I. was based on his question. I wondered why he would say that but decided to conceal my doubt that time,
Spoiler: What I got (click to show/hide)

Why I didn't say my plan?

Firstly, the scum could easily use this as their scapegoat on why to lynch me because of it's obviousness and sheer stupidity and declare it WIFOM.

Second, it could be easily twisted into a deeper count of WIFOM because of the general reaction to why in the world would a townie even do this?! which can be answered easily below, 2 paragraphs after this.

Third, I put the subtlety in that I am town. Knowing that other town only know themselves, putting vague hints to what it was kept up the spark and the responses of mostly everyone, and to keep the scum in a safe feeling because they know that they won't have one of their lynched on the first day. If I gave it earlier, it would be less liable to seem true because, as stated, scum can twist words easily and easier so as I already seemed scummy. Teamwork beats a one man band, especially when it is a plan like this.

Fourthly, the time in which I post this makes it all the more liable to error, just because "I am scum".

The Plan: I did not want any experienced townie to suffer the lynch. Looking through the many Mafia games before, townies often get lynched in the first day. Offering up myself while making me look like scum seemed a fair exchange, and taking in the fact that scum would generally not all lurk as a team and some seeming active, I'd make the bait, partly to get conversation going and to keep the scum feel safe and slip up in their hunting.

Hence, my posts and 'passivity' as webadict would point out, which he didn't yet reply to.

And...here are all my posts, so none can complain.
Spoiler: In Order (click to show/hide)

Try to make a WIFOM out of this, scum! You'll twist my words no longer!

PPE. GlyphGryph: Alright, now this is it.
Busy for most of the rest of the day - Powder Miners content didn't leave me all that happy, but his posts didn't read scum to me either. Since he's been active, he's off the hook for now.
Thanks for hopping on the bandwagon, by the way. By Powder Miner being active by just posting a few bits, you even happy with that despite the way you hounded him earlier? You've been on the defense and are spewing all things against any attack towards you and now you decide to shift votes?

-snip-
Vote count please?
Vote count why? What does it interest you?

Okay, NOW I'm mostly still voting Powder Miner just because of this terrible lurking.
This really defies everything you said about him for the first ~70 replies.

Hah. You have a Good reason to vote me too!

PPE (II) Dariush then Ottofar.

GlyphGryph is where my vote will be when the day ends.
Why not right now?
Orangebottle: Mind explaining why you aren't voting GlyphGryph and why you aren't being more active with Ottofar?
I'm not voting for you because I'd rather use my vote for pressure now, then switch it back when we get closer to the end of the day.
Also, Think: Because Ottofar isn't a very active player.

OB. PM does what PM does. I deem it him minding his town-business, therefore I think he's town.
No.
I cannot point out what makes me think so.
Meta is very specific. That you can't name what it is that tips you off to him being town makes me think that you're lying. You can't say,"He's acting like he did in X, where he was town." or,"He's doing X. He always does that when he's town."

Now, a gut feeling, on the other hand, is vague. You don't know why you think he's town, you just do. This is what you've just described to us. You have a vague feeling that this is PM doing his town thing.

I'd like to know why you're making shit up just so you can call PM town. That is some hardcore buddying right there.

Tiruin: I don't think people are even going to touch that post because you quoted all of your posts within it. Your plan is flawed in that: experienced townies are rarely lynched. But, if you're town, you've sacrificed yourself in the place of a possible scum.

Hence, my posts and 'passivity' as webadict would point out, which he didn't yet reply to.
I assume you meant this:
@webadict: I'm not here to impress anyone with my words-- in finding scum and what they say, that is where I stand. What exactly gets your attention that I am scum? I'm getting no read on you but the shift between 'I vote you because of being passive/aggressive!'. You aren't giving any extra details why.
Which is funny because one post above it, I wrote this:
Webadict: It's always hard to tell if Webadict is scum or not, and his meta of "I'm Webadict the un-fucking-touchable" doesn't help.  He's fearless as town or scum, so that's sort of a null tell.  His opening vote on GG, and his blatant "I have no reason, deal" set off alarms (despite the fact this seems like classic Webadict, WIFOM in my head!).  He snipes at GG for a while, then leaps onto Tiriun shortly after what he claims was a post full of passive attacks (I don't agree it was that bad, and wonder if he really believes it or not).

So, I don't know what game you're playing where everyone else is solid enough town that Tiriun sticks out like a sore thumb, but I'm sure as shit not in it.  Considering my vote at this point could be a tie-making vote, I'm hesitant to cast it while it's so foggy to me.
Are you serious? Did you see that post of his?

He's totally scum!

I'm not sure why everyone else doesn't find that strange.
Here he's attempting to deflect onto Orangebottle without doing so himself. It's a passive attack that really isn't scumhunting or anything but a way to make people look the other way.

Think0028: Lurking?
Passive.

Does it makes me seem like scum because I'm following my intuition when many are being vague themselves? (Other than the scum know town thing).
Deflection with no evidence.

He also states that he's not afraid to be lynched in a way I was unimpressed by. If he's not afraid and not trying to get people to stop him, why keep him alive?

Do I need to explain why passive attacks are bad? Or are you just trying to make another one?

But how is the pressured player supposed to be pressured if he knows you're going to change your vote later?

Let's see. Am I defending or chainsawing him? No.
Would I have called him town, without whoever asking about it? No.

So no. Not a proper tell is that.

Also also, meta as I recall. He doesn't do that when scum.
So yeah.

What doesn't PM do as scum?

Ah well.

Does any of that matter? No. By lying about your reasons for thinking PM is town, you are still buddying him. It makes you look like you're trying to justify calling him town, for the sake of calling him town.

I don't see how that could've been an answer, because you didn't say what he doesn't do as scum.

You set me up for that, by asking a question:

Ottofar: What's your opinion on the current argument between PM and GlyphGryph?

You ask me, fairly straight, what do I think of the townishness of GG and PM. I reply I think GG might be scum, and he seems scummier than PM, who I think plays as he does when he's town.

I think his play is more townish than scummish.

Leafsnail:You said a while back that you'd use today to make sure that people don't lurk in future days. It sounded wonderful. What happened to that?
Well I did.  And pretty much every player has been contributing at least something.  Ottofar hasn't been great but he has at least enough for you to read him somewhat.  I also threatened Powder Miner, but other than that activity's looking good (unless you have a lurker in mind, in which case vote them).

Yeah, WIFOM? Maybe you should look at it from all perspectives before you give it that. A closed mind towards whatever I say would end up like this. There are other scum there, and from where I see it, they are hiding behind all those votes on me.
I don't need a closed mind to see WIFOM like that as WIFOM.  And if your plan was apparently to attract votes then why call people who voted you scummy?
