Combine Stimulant with ???

In theory this should improve the current ability increases apparent by the ???. If my guess is right its some kind of sedative that forces us to sleep, and then uses the new amounts of energy to increase our thinking/calculation abilities.

I feel we should prepare a rat cage, then later capture a second rat and inject that one, keep it in the cage, and then observe how it acts if and when it re-awakens, might shed even more light on this sedative.

So, right now I am thinking of more uses for Psychiatry, and wondering if there would be a tinkering/electronics skill. I mean, robotics facilitates Deus Ex-style body improvements, and well... robots, but there are a CRAP-LOAD of things that one can create that aren't robots. Should we keep it in one basket, or...?

Find rat. (2? 3? 1?) (I vote for this part but not the second one so I split them up)

Is it ok to split things up like that if you support one part but not another? how are previus votes counted in that case? For that matter, what if you have a sugestion for an improved way of doing somehting already voted on, does it have to be counted as an entirely new action with votes counted from 0?

If it is simply an improved method of doing said action, I don't see why not. If it takes less resources, time, etcetera, then it is probably better. Keep in mind that you don't have very many parts, so it'll be a quite mediocre cage until you scavenge some parts (which geology will help with.) Also, combining scrap steel with a rat is more robotics than biology, as low-level biology is mostly surgeries/autopsies/dissections until you can find a genetic sequencer and a good enough computer to run a genetic sequencing/editing program and so on.

Also, I'm not going to ignore the previous suggestions, like that very long chemical combination one. At least for the most part.

well, anyways... Updates might be a tad slower, since sister going to college and other stuff, but I will still be there.
---+++---
You tap your head thoughtfully. You absolutely need a rat cage for your rats! Or... future rats. Yes, that's it. Either way, if you have rats or not, a rat cage would still be a good idea. Of course, you don't really know how you could possibly make one... but that is what SCIENCEtific!!! plans are for! You grab a piece of wrinkled paper from a drawer in your mad desk of science, pull a pencil out of your labcoat pocket, and get to work![4]

Dear gog how do you do this. At best, you figure out that you need some kind of container. A bucket, suitcase, or whatever is better as time goes on. Other than that, though... you rub your chin, pensive.
[+0.20 Robotics, +partial rat cage plan]

Shrugging your shoulders, you move onto more advantageous  and exciting things... like mixing chemicals! In your head, a track of laughing children yell yay. You curse Barney for doing this to you. Shaking off the memories, you collect your chemicals and ready yourself as to make sure you have everything... (10)
Ah, you're done mixing. You have also decided to rename that odd chemical the 'Mysterious Sedative' for now.
[-1 Reactive, -1 Sedative, +3 Mysterious Sedative, +0.18 Chem.]

Now, onto a certain idea you had in mind. A stimulant plus the mysterious sedative should, in theory, prevent the sedative from causing the recipient in question to not fall asleep, thus having the ability to utilize whatever effects the mysterious sedative grants, which so far seem to be beneficial. Well, what are you waiting for!? Time to get to work! You pick up your chemical vials and start carefully mixing... [15]
The mixture experiences violent effervescence for a while, as if two forces are clashing, and then it is done. You decide to call it Stimulated M-Sedative for now, but you can change it at a whim (you guys could vote to change). You're not sure what it did exactly, but a bit of testing will amend that...
[-1 Stimulant, -1 Mysterious Sedative, +4 Stimulated M-Sedative, +0.19 Chem.]
