The story so far...

What is this? A Campaign that combines both the high fantasy and space opera settings using magical wooden spacefaring naval vessels! You all get to be freelance Star Knights, certified badasses trained to kick ass on foot or in magical fighter craft! We will be using the GURPS System, and will be willing to teach players how to use the system. This campaign will be run over maptools.

We? The mechanics of this campaign will be handled by Felius, while the story and NPC interactions will be done by Weirdsound. Weirdsound will be learning the system himself, so please direct all mechanical questions towards Felius.

What time will this be played? This will be an on-demand pickup type campaign. We will accept any number of characters and run sessions whenever 3-6 of them as well as both GM's are ready to play! Most sessions will likely start at around 6-7pm pacific. Mondays and Wensdays are off limits for the foreseeable future, but other than that feel free to nag us to play whenever.

How do I join? Just tell us you are in. We will likely have a few character creation sessions where you can get help from Felius before we actualy get started. If you actualy want to try and make a character without help, the rules are below.

Hey folks. I'm available by pm, email, gtalk (just pm me first to inform that you are adding me) or steam, for those who have need of me.

In addition, a little on combat: Very important or powerful enemies are going to surely have access to magic, at least in the form of magical items. Make sure your characters are at least somewhat compatible in melee combat, since there are a few magics that make projectiles a less than ideal choice.

Welp, like I've said in the other maptools games, I wouldn't mind giving this a shot. Even though I totally missed the thread.

That said, I also dislike the 'pickup' mechanic. As that just screams chaos to me. Either we don't get a session in, or we end up having one when I'm not able to play, or something else. I stress highly that we pick a day(maybe friday) and go with that as a standard, you can always try and pick up games aside from that.

Hey, i've only just found about Maptools, and unfamiliar with GURPS, but it would be a good idea. I'll only be availible on weekends so maybe that would be the standard.

You don't need to learn all that much to use maptools, and you can get help with the System.

Uh, and I'll get started learning GURPS with you guys help. lol

I have a feeling most are new to that.

GURPS? Oh man, that one's great. I can't really be in on most Maptools sessions, but you guys are going to love this.

All of my yes.

Finally, a game that I can play in because the timezones (sorta) work out, the game hasn't been flooded with people AND I don't have to GM! I never was very good at the rules part of GMing.

I'll work on a character and send it shortly, if you're still accepting. I've got a semi-decent GURPS knowledge.

And in another note, do remember that the disadvantage limit also includes stats smaller than the average and so on.

Yes, I do remember. I pretty much do nothing but generate characters and desperately wish I had a group to play with.

I'm on GMT +10. I've worked it out that you'll probably be starting games around 11 AM - 12 PM my time. That is, the next day of course.

EDIT: Character question, can I play a summoner sort? I want to play a particularly magical character, but summons would be fun. I've never run a summoner before. (Technically, I haven't run much of anything before, but that's beside the point)

D-D-DOUBLE EDIT: I'll PM this question to ya so I can get to work ASAP.

TRIPLE EDIT: What about an enchanter? I'll PM this one too.

Its pickup, so there is no character limit. The more people we have the easier it will be to get 4-6 available for a session. If the playerbase is big enough we wont expect everybody to play everytime.
