broke graphic interface installing xfce inlmde

i think it screwed some xorg dependence, or one of its dependences screwed xorg. Any advice on how to fix? Now when I turn the computer on it leads me to a terminal

run a usb persistent boot then reinstall all your dependencies for XORG

I'm trying an aptitude upgrade&update. Maybe it will fix my shit, maybe not. I'm hoping to get extra input i  the meanwhile just in case. I need to fix this ASAP, I need my computer for MIR

Decided to blow up the system and install regular mint on top to save time. Only I did not save that much time because my only avaiable usb cable sucks. Still, it beats fiddling around to see what broke exactly when I dont know the details of the event, and don't have time to spend tampering with it
